Great win for Jürgen against a tough opponent. Shame one of them had to lose. Malisse next.

Good win for Jurgen. The roar from Jurgen at the end showed how much he wanted this win. Match was very up and down, a lot of momentum shifts, the main difference in this match was the serving difference between Melzer and Tursunov (Jurgen doing much better in that department), and the fact Jurgen was more willing to finish points off at the net. Dima made too many errors in good positions, and Jurgen grinded this win out and had good focus in the tiebreaks.

Lovely "Yessssssss!!!" when he won

Good for Jurgen beating this clown (he is literally a clown) Tursunov had a break advantage twice in the third, served for it and of course got broken. Also Tursunov had a break advantage in the fourth. The guy is a moron.

Oldies are doing well this Wimbledon!
Nice matchup between Malisse and Melzer. I'll be rooting for the X-man.

hillarious and pathetic from tursunov, serving for the match in the 3rd, and up a break in the 4th. double faults on crucial points, and he basically gave up before the tie break.

3rd set should have been Tursunov's, no doubt about that. Broke Melzer in the first game, then got broken back, then served for the set at 5-4 only two make two double faults and get broken. Today Melzer was the better player and sadly Tursunov was totally off the whole tiebreak, match would have deserved a fifth set imho, both players fairly even.

Yes! Great Jurgen! He didn`t play a match in grass before Wimbledon and Tursunov won a tournament. I think he will beat Malisse now.

Not too often you get to say this, but Melzer was the more mentally solid of the two, and that is what made the main difference.

Yes Jurgen, what a terrific win! Best win of the year so far.

Yes Jurgen, what a terrific win! Best win of the year so far.

You do know he beat Federer at Monte Carlo?

Tursunov is a better win than Federer? :D

Jurgen :yeah:
But why so hard against Tursucknov :o

Jürgen won the match in the third. He broke Tursunov when he was serving for the match, and won a tight tiebreak. Good win and I expect a tight one against the X-man.

Tursonov can go back to twitter and Melzer vs Malisse for epic oldie clash. Everyone wins

Dmitry :o playing Melzer these months, especially on grass, was a golden opportunity

I'm glad Jurgen is through though, but Malisse will not be an easy round tomorrow.

Exciting matchup!

Saw this on and off. Melzer very rusty, he's not had much court time in recent months, tournaments or practice, cos of the back problems. Badly needs a month off.

Tursunov's choke serving for the 3rd was hilarious, error, df, error, df. Scarcely less bad in the 4th at *4-2.

Not only did Tursunov doublefault the third set away (nothing new with it), but I've never seen anyone dealing SO bad with slices. In set 3 Tursunov lost literally each and every rally where Melzer threw in a slice.

Not too often you get to say this, but Melzer was the more mentally solid of the two, and that is what made the main difference.

But it's almost always true that Tursunov is often the more mentally inferior between him and his opponents
