Very good tennis today from JMDP after struggles yesterday. Too much power for Rochus.

30 aces, served at 70% first serves in the match, and had 75 winners. Also came to the net a fair bit and was successful with some nice volleys. He focused himself today and he did what he had to do to get the win. Serving the way he did, he will be a threat for anyone.

Fourth set got a little dicey but Delpo played very well today.

The ending was ridiculous, Del Potro challenged his lob which was well out, but the challenge system showed Rochus' approach shot that was on the line. And then the linesman on that last ace :help:

Easy today for Del Potro. Probably went home thinking why he was losing to a midget (in tennis terms). Anyway looks likely for a Nadal - Del Potro R4.

But its easier to ace Rochus who is 160.

Its not easy, you need good serve to do it and he is 168cm almost same size as Cipolla but he didnt hit that many aces against him.

Yes It's easier, rochus is pretty aced every match. Even Berlocq aced him 27 times last week.

Nice recovery from Lord Potro after dropping the first set last night. Should be favourite to dispose of Gilloy in the next round

Alistair McGowan's impression of Delpo on the radio was pretty funny aswell.

I like this result, although I thought he'd have more of a challenge, 1st set aside.

This is the man whom I want to destroy the tennis landscape (leaving room for Federer).

Del Potro for president, and to beat Nadal 6-2 6-2 6-2.

In actuality he will have next to no chance.
