Wimbledon R2: Bolelli def. Wawrinka 7-6(5) 6-3 7-6(4)Gustavo Kuerten 06-22-2011, 05:24 PM In before Filo V. Ad Wim 06-22-2011, 05:25 PM This must be the biggest low of Wawrinka this season. He had 4-1 and 5-3 in the first TB, and 0-40 at 5-4 in the third. Pathetic... LoveWozniacki 06-22-2011, 05:25 PM Straight garbage by Wawrinka this year. It's still not as bad as when he lost to Dustin Brown on clay though. nole_no1 06-22-2011, 05:26 PM  Bolelli played pretty well i must say but Wawrinka was a mug in the important moments (as always i can say) Fillo V will be very happy Luinir 06-22-2011, 05:26 PM Well played from Simone. Sauletekis 06-22-2011, 05:26 PM Just retire for your fans, Stan (and I'm not even one of them)... TheRafaelNadal 06-22-2011, 05:26 PM What a joke of a player he has become. Deathless Mortal 06-22-2011, 05:26 PM A very very good match by Bolelli. I've always known he's capable of this but he's just always been such a headcase :o Today he also choked a little at *4-3 in the third, but then he saved three straight set points. Congrats :yeah: orangehat 06-22-2011, 05:26 PM :o Wow. That was like Roddick vs. Gasquet 2007. "My opponent is hitting so many FH winners. So what do I do? Continue hitting balls to his FH for him." Break point conversion superb as usual. Either the first set tiebreak win (led 5-3) or conversion of a set point in the 3rd at 0-40 *5-6 would have resulted in a win  Good job losing 2 tiebreaks to bolelli as well. shadows 06-22-2011, 05:26 PM Wawat the fuck Ad Wim 06-22-2011, 05:27 PM I have to say that Bolelli played well from what I've seen end of third set, but there is no excuse that Stan loses this. After a terrible clay court season, he had a good RG. He is usually very good and decent in Grand Slams. So losing against Ward in his first grass match, I can deal with. But losing in straight to fucking Bolelli after having so many chances, really unacceptable. I've given up on him. How can you be so abysmal after one of the best starts of the season?! TMJordan 06-22-2011, 05:27 PM Where is Filo V? MsTree 06-22-2011, 05:27 PM Stan! :o That was about the best I've seen Bolelli play though, good win for him! gulzhan 06-22-2011, 05:28 PM Very impressive by Bolelli Action Jackson 06-22-2011, 05:28 PM Plenty of good shots from Bolelli, but Wawrinka showed his tactical nous. tennishero 06-22-2011, 05:28 PM stan had so many chances and wasted them all match long. lungdren has been detrimental to stan Josh V 06-22-2011, 05:29 PM Great match by Simone. Entertaining tennis as usual and his net play today was excellent. Wawrinka had his chances but Bolelli was just more clutch on the big points. Nice to see Bolelli finally putting his tennis together again. Betty 06-22-2011, 05:29 PM great performance:worship: as LL not bad, forza Bol:rocker2: TMJordan 06-22-2011, 05:29 PM Hmmmmmm I see a Josh V but no Filo V Javier Bardem 06-22-2011, 05:30 PM Wawrinka just played way too passively imo, all he did was stand way behind the baseline and feed Bolelli slices right to his forehand. and he kept hitting winner after winner. 4-4 in the tiebreak and Bolelli hit a beauty fh pass down the line Helevorn 06-22-2011, 05:30 PM Retirement is the only answer when you lose to Bolelli, especially like this. I hope not to see Wawrinka's name anymore on the ATP tour. Dougie 06-22-2011, 05:31 PM Great win for Bolelli, and disastrous for Stan. I wonder how long Lundgren can take this... Champion number 1 06-22-2011, 05:31 PM Brilliant from Simo. Just awesome. He is well and truly back. Ilovetheblues_86 06-22-2011, 05:33 PM Wawrinkas ex wife voodoo ;) superandy88 06-22-2011, 05:35 PM Bolelli played pretty well at moments. The killer-forehand is almost back. Not consistent enough though if he wants to go further. Pirata. 06-22-2011, 05:36 PM Stan  Filo V must be busy jizzing himself... Titi 06-22-2011, 05:36 PM Filo V called it, straight sets to Bolelli. Some great shots from Bolelli, pity his overall game is so flawed as he has talent. misty1 06-22-2011, 05:49 PM whee is filo v.? i expected him to make the thread timafi 06-22-2011, 05:53 PM Stan would have won had the Wimbledon officials sprinkled red dirt on the damn grass. He'd been sliding on that shit:shrug: Certinfy 06-22-2011, 05:55 PM NID. Stan sucks at the moment. gaitare 06-22-2011, 06:02 PM Wawrinka with 3 match points in the 3rd set, couldn't take them, awesome shotmaking by Superlol though rhinooooo 06-22-2011, 06:05 PM Forza Simo. Always great to see him playing well, very enjoyable game. The way he salvaged that game at the end of the 3rd set, saving 3 sp's was incredible. Would have been a massive momentum changer considering Stani is a good comeback player. MIMIC 06-22-2011, 06:09 PM And I had him in the SFs :haha: :o e476 06-22-2011, 06:10 PM  Stan the Man  samanosuke 06-22-2011, 06:11 PM skipped reading the comments to avoid flyboy's orgasms congratulations to Bolelli on great result CescAndyKimi 06-22-2011, 06:12 PM What a joke you are Stan. Losing to grassmug Bolelli. Muzza's draw just opened up. MaxPower 06-22-2011, 06:14 PM Well good to see Bolelli taking advantage. Had nothing to lose. Wawrinka put up a fight and had chances to get right back into it but sucked too much for the day and didn't really have luck on his side either Gagsquet 06-22-2011, 06:15 PM What a joke you are Stan. Losing to grassmug Bolelli. Gasquet's draw just opened up. Corrected Sonja1989 06-22-2011, 06:21 PM Congrats Bolelli, Filo and other fans of Bolelli, great win for him. :worship:  CescAndyKimi 06-22-2011, 06:22 PM Corrected  Hellraiser 06-22-2011, 06:23 PM TOP10 after Wimbledon, yeah sure  AnnaK_4ever 06-22-2011, 06:34 PM Everyone acting so surprised as if Wawrinka was any good on grass. He's not. Bolelli's forehand proved to be too penetrating for Stan The Man. No wonder he had to use towel so often. alter ego 06-22-2011, 06:38 PM Ridiculous result. WTF Stan? KarlyM 06-22-2011, 08:12 PM FFS Stan! Bolelli played great. :) In before Filo V.Where is Filo V?Hmmmmmm I see a Josh V but no Filo VFilo V must be busy jizzing himself...whee is filo v.? i expected him to make the threadskipped reading the comments to avoid flyboy's orgasms :superlol: :) Tom Paulman 06-22-2011, 08:28 PM It's always a great result when Wawrinka loses philosophicalarf 06-22-2011, 08:29 PM Wawrinka has been absolutely crap since about March. Loss to Fed then killed him :-) Start da Game 06-22-2011, 08:32 PM congrats to filo v and other bolelli fans...... Smoke944 06-22-2011, 08:37 PM Boom. Hope some of you "tennis experts" now realize that you know less than you think about tennis and flyboy knows more than you think  There are some gems in the WWW thread. Wawrinka has been in poor form and despite how much more he has accomplished, I don't think he is much more talented than Bolelli. Very similar styles of play, it's just that Stan actually plays hard for more than a few weeks of the year. Filo V. 06-22-2011, 08:38 PM Told ya'll bitches. Gagsquet 06-22-2011, 08:44 PM Told ya'll bitches. You also said Kunitsyn would upset Richard. Easy stuff to be right sometimes when you pick always the underdog. Filo V. 06-22-2011, 08:46 PM Boom. Can't say it any better, and I'll let people continue to think I don't know what I'm talking about. They do have similar styles but Simone's game is a little more offensive, he hits the ball flatter, his ground strokes are a little more compact, and he moves a little bit better. And that is what made the difference today, as I expected it to, on grass. On clay, I think Stan would win this match, but on quicker courts, Simone can force his game on Stan. I know it most likely won't be, but hopefully this is the start of Simone actually putting himself together. Filo V. 06-22-2011, 08:46 PM I said Kunitsyn could threaten Richie, I didn't say beat him. misty1 06-22-2011, 08:50 PM kunitsyn was actually up in that 3rd set , 4-2 i think? madmax 06-22-2011, 08:53 PM that was some sublime tennis from SuperBol, but it has to be said that Stan Da Man messed up his chances by playing braindead tennis out there. He's not a grass player though and needs time to wind up those strokes, so this loss to inspired opponent shouldn't be surprising Gagsquet 06-22-2011, 08:55 PM Darkhorse of 2011 Wimbledon through to R2. Igor is the Lu of this year. Book it. I call that a prediction of Igor's win. Lu didn't lose in R2 last year. Sapeod 06-22-2011, 08:58 PM Corrected If Gasquet and Murray meet, Murray will win :wavey: As for this garbage, Wawrinka must've been absolutely awful. No other reason he would lose to this guy. Absolutely garbage. Sapeod 06-22-2011, 08:59 PM I said Kunitsyn could threaten Richie, I didn't say beat him. You said he'd be the Lu of this year. The thing is, Lu reached the quarter-finals... Gustavo Kuerten 06-22-2011, 09:00 PM I call that a prediction of Igor's win. Lu didn't lose in R2 last year. Owned. Arkulari 06-22-2011, 10:12 PM WTF Stanislas? losing 2 TB to Bolelli in a GS should be punished with jail time if you're a top 20 player  Mountaindewslave 06-22-2011, 10:50 PM wow Wawa should not be losing matches like this, extremely dissapointed, BAD yearrr for our Swiss little brother ChinoRios4Ever 06-22-2011, 11:12 PM Bolelli isn't that bad on grass. StatRacket 06-22-2011, 11:17 PM OK, I feel pretty silly right now. Mungo 06-22-2011, 11:23 PM Good for the game. We won't see this swiss mental midget melting against a top player. paseo 06-22-2011, 11:35 PM Good for the game. We won't see this swiss mental midget melting against a top player. Yes. He melts against journeymen now. VolandriFan 06-22-2011, 11:59 PM Big surprise. The situation is slowly improving; no prediction for R3 vs Gasquet though. Topspindoctor 06-23-2011, 12:27 AM Expected. Since there was no Olderer in his draw in R4-QF to bend down for, Mugwrinka didn't even bother trying. Sauletekis 06-23-2011, 01:16 AM OK, I feel pretty silly right now. +1 But when I think that Stan is feeling even more silly than me, I feel not so bad... Kat_YYZ 06-23-2011, 02:07 AM Told ya'll bitches. congrats, Filo :) Stupid Stan... :( ...and people think Roger has a shot at DC with this guy as his #2??? Don't strain yourself in that DC matchup, Rog; just get your Olympic berth and GTF out of there. Snowwy 06-23-2011, 04:41 AM Good call by Filo V, I really was doubting him, but he turned out to be correct. Action Jackson 06-23-2011, 04:52 AM Good call by Filo V, I really was doubting him, but he turned out to be correct. One out of 50 not a good ratio. *Jean* 06-23-2011, 05:19 AM Simone  FlameOn 06-23-2011, 05:20 AM Simone! I thought watching him play Murray that he was good. :yeah: Hewitt =Legend 06-23-2011, 05:20 AM Good call by Filo V, I really was doubting him, but he turned out to be correct. Easy to look good when you always pick the underdog. Dmitry Verdasco 06-23-2011, 06:44 AM OMFG :inlove::worship: Good for tha game  StatRacket 06-23-2011, 07:10 AM Bolelli knew what he was doing when not signing up to defend his Challenger title in Turin next week. Pretty rare that a lucky loser makes the 3rd round of a Major. Champion number 1 06-23-2011, 07:58 AM Bolelli knew what he was doing when not signing up to defend his Challenger title in Turin next week. Pretty rare that a lucky loser makes the 3rd round of a Major. He is down to play i Braunschweig, and I know he probably will not now, but if he loses to Gasquet I think it would still be a good option. As of now his ranking is still basically the same because last year he won that challenger event, so if he does lose, playing the challenger next week would be a bonus for his ranking should be get to at least QF and push him towards top 100. Beat 06-23-2011, 08:57 AM oh wawrinka  Geo 06-23-2011, 09:20 AM Bolelli randomly starting to play good tennis again!  Wawrinka :spit: :wavey: Start da Game 06-23-2011, 11:58 AM One out of 50 not a good ratio. still better than you..... Filo V. 06-23-2011, 12:23 PM Look at some of you stupid ass haters. Boo Hoo, go cry in your tissues bitches. I once again was right and some of you still won't give me the credit, but that's perfectly fine. Simone Bolelli is into R3 of Wimbledon, that's all that matters  And thanks for the love to those who have praised my correct prediction :wavey: FleetSeb 06-23-2011, 03:08 PM Saw this live... Bolelli was just hitting the ball so much harder than Stan. And his depth was much much better, consistently pushing Stan back. Stan's serve is what kept it as close as it was... other than that thoroughly outplayed. Hian-GOAT 06-24-2011, 01:27 PM Wawrinka fans :hysteric: Bole was the better play on court, accepte the reality. Stanislmug lost because he deserved to lose, and his bad attitude on court is just ridicolous. You've a new hater mah boy. :p makesmewonder 06-24-2011, 01:51 PM This must be the biggest low of Wawrinka this season. He had 4-1 and 5-3 in the first TB, and 0-40 at 5-4 in the third. Pathetic...
