Jurgen was a set and a break down and found a way back into the match. Was also a mini-break down in the tiebreaker. After being injured at RG and not playing since losing there in R2, he deserves a lot of credit, this was a dangerous match for him.

Falla with another good start to WImbledon against a seed, again unable to finish it off

Last year Falla really should have won. This time it seems like Jurgen just stepped it up, not that Falla choked.

Still worried about Jürgen, I hope his back can handle singles, and doubles title defense.

Good to see jurgen playing and winning again. He must be fit to be turning this match around. Falla can be tricky.

Vintage Falla, exactly the same degree of mental strength as Haase - see the Roddick/Haase from this year's AO.

Unreal this wasn't televised. I had it picked out as the best of the R1 matches, and apparently it was excellent (Falla on fire for first half).
Still, never mind, we got the K.Beck-Berlocq fixathon, Dimitrov-Stebe, Seppi-Mugtanes, Staks-Cox and other assorted grasscourt epics on TV courts today.
9 courts televised this year and they put Melzer-Falla on one of the pissant courts.
