Completely expected. Lu only lost 17 serve points. Last years' quarterfinalist into R2.

Hopefully Tommy didn't re-aggravate his injury and can do well on the clay post-Wimbledon.

you said it all about your tennis knowledge with this statement

I can't understand why Lu is so much better on grass than the other surfaces, but that's the way it seems to be!

The breadstick made me salivate. Thank you Lu, thank you.

Why Boredo why?

06-21-2011, 04:37 PM
Oh no. :crying2:

Robredo didn't have lot of chance. He lost to Haas in last week and don't forget, he was injured since Monte Carlo. Plus Lu beaten Roddick in last year.

Lu is a grass king

Shame Lu didn't build on all those ranking points. Should have made top 40 last year and now he'll be lucky to finish top 100.

06-22-2011, 12:48 AM
Yeah, not an overly surprising result.

Lu is a very decent grass court player, and Robredo isn't at all, let alone him being far beyond his ultimate selling date by now.
In other words, not a surprise at all.

Lu can still finish top 100, but he has 3 huge point events to defend, here at Wimbledon, Ch Seoul 125 points, and Montreal 115 points. So to have any realistic chance of remaining top 100 by the USO, he needs to beat Troicki at least in the next round, plus he'll need some results in the USO series events.

He's a good player, obviously not a top 40 player, but between 65-90? He's someone who can sit comfortably in that ranking position and have decent performances.
