Hewitt drops out of top100 which means Australia hasn't got one single player inside top100! Any idea when was the last time that happen?

130 Hewitt, Lleyton
150 Matosevic, Marinko
158 Tomic, Bernard
159 Ebden, Matthew
185 Luczak, Peter

Dayum, talk about the US being in crisis with no top 10 player, but this stuff is really scary.

Everyone knows that Guccione is the real top 10, so no need to worry.

Early 2009, but that only lasted 3 weeks. This gap will be a lot longer.

Australian tennis = Hewitt so the correct question is " When was the last time when Hewitt was out of the top 100?"

Looks like Australia will quickly go downhill as a tennis nation. Having only drama queen Tomug as the biggest potential is very bad news.

It's really concerning actually. We are banking all our hopes on Lleyton these days and the poor bloke hardly gets to play 1/4th of the season due to injuries. Unfortunately, no one from the junior ranks looks like in the Hewitt/Rafter mold. They just don't seem tough enough. I believe Rafter made that point not so long ago.

I don't think we can expect much from Hewitt in the twilight of his decorated career. He's achieved more than what a lot would have predicted of him. True champ!

Tough times for Australian tennis. CPR needed ASAP. Tomic will come good. He just needs to mature.

It's more like Tomic is the man of Australia now, no offense to Rusty. Tomic could very well finish YE top 100. Guys like Ebden, Matosevic, Jones and others will never be fixtures.

Tomic is Australia's best prospect, but he's a hard one to read at this point. But I think Matosevic can step it up actually. To me he's a top 100 player if nothing more.
