I would definitely start an empire if payed enough money.

To answer your question however: Yes I would, I'd be the youngest ump Ever.

who wouldnt? this leads to the next level of the question:

Could you do it? I mean, u are not going to be allowed to vouch for a player anymore!

Yes, I would consider being an elite ATP player too, if they pay me enough of course.

Yes, so I could use my position to bribe players for what I want from them.

I would pay money to become a Chair Umpire as a Grandslam!

Yes, and I would call a let every time Fed hit an ace

I honestly don't think I could do it. My fandom would get in the way. I'd have to umpire a WTA match because I wouldn't give a shit who wins.

Also, may I also ass that I would only umpire matches Francesca Schivone is not involved in? My God, her grunting is fucking annoying.

How does one become an umpire?

Why is that a question?
The "if they paid you enough" bit goes well with something unpleasant, like: "would you let someone kick you in the balls if they paid you enough?"
Or maybe you're thinking about the constant travelling, being far from family and friends, the abuse from the players and things like that?

Yes, but I'd probably have a very short career as I would default Nadal for time wasting.

Why not?
Being a tennis fan it's a great thing...going to so many important tournaments, watch live matches, meet players,be a part of the game and take good $ :)

Sure, I´d do it if they payed enough. What I meant was that I don´t see why being an umpire would be something every fan wants.

Not for diamonds.

I have umped at small junior events. I found it stressful as fuck.

Yeah. I'd be one for as many matches as it takes until I have to umpire a Roddick match. At which point I purposely piss him off to get him bitching, and then tell him politely where he can stick that oversized forehead of his, for umpires everywhere.

Then I'll enjoy my glorious forced retirement.

Yeah. I'd default Cilic for being a lanky ****, or Roddick for existing in an unsporting manner, or Chela for no reason at all.
