Even an injured Murray will destroy Chela. I doubt he will be able to finish this match, Chela might be too exhausted.

Well seriously Murray didn't look good vs Troicki and maybe the long match could have worsen that injury a little. If he is injuried and Chela plays clever tennis he can win in 5. If Soderling d. Nadal then Murray will win 3-0 easily. If Nadal d. Soderling then Chela wins 7-6, 7-5, 6-7, 5-7, 12-10

Murray better raise his game if he wants this done quicky. Otherwise we're in for another dogfight.

Depends entirely on how fit Murray is. Chela isn't going to do anything if he playsed like he did v Falla.

Murray wins in four. :) Hopefully he won't destroy poor Chela. :scared:

Chela should be happy with his new, #19 ranking. :bounce:

I actually think Chela will win, especially if the courts remain playing at the not so fast pace they have been of these past days. Murray has a good record v Chela, but I think this situation bodes well for Chela. I think he can overpower Murray, who isn't moving at a great level, and he's at least as consistent than Troicki is and hits a bigger ball, plus he's mentally tougher.

Murray had 64 winners vs Troicki - should find them even easier to come by against Chela, who's a hell of a lot slower. With the ankle tear, and a semifinal to come, Murray surely won't want to run much.

I think Chela still has one more dogfight in him and it will be Murray who won´t last or might need to retire.

Which player wants it more?
Which player has most left in the tank after the previous round?

Surely has to be Murray.

Henman obviously the last Brit to make SF here (2004), ironically had the same QF opponent.

Love how history repeats itself.

Who would have ever imagined an era when more Brits made it this far at a slam than Americans.

TheRafaelNadal

That's because americans have had 1 decent player since Agassi.Sampras and that's roddick. At least brits have had Rudeski, Heman and now Murgray.

Well that's that then. Chela's goose is cooked.

Murrays odds on WH are ridiculous 1/8!??? that's absurd. Federer is 9/4 against Djoko might stick a tenner on that. In fact might do a multple of Chela/Fed. Chela is 9/2. Surely Murrays ankle is going to be some problem for him. Even Nadal is only 1/3 which is a joke, Nadal has far more chance of beating Soderling than Murray has of Chela.

So true.
Really? I mean really? It's Chela, what's he going to do? He was taken to 5 sets by Falla and you expect him to take Murray to 5 sets too?

It's Chela who needs to raise his game. Falla is a considerably worse player than Troicki.

Soderling is in great form, Nadal isn't. Soderling has also beaten Nadal here before. Chela has lost to Muzza 6 times. He was taken to 5 sets by Falla while Muzza's ankle seems to be better. So, HOW does Nadal have a better chance of beating Soderling than Muzza has of beaten Chela? That's completely false.

Of course you do :bigclap: You also said that about Phau, Prodon and Bolelli. What happened? All lost. Seriously, how can you post that? That's beyond ridiculous.

How is he going to overpower Muzza when Muzza is clearly the the stronger and hits a bigger ball. Also, Chela was taken to 5 sets by Falla. By Falla. A player that's a few hundred steps below Troicki.

Your "pick" is ridiculous and hilarious at the same time

Jesus. People saying that Chela will be too strong for Murray

If Troicki can't overpower a 1 legged Murray, then there's no chance for Chela to overpower thick legs

Well said guys... Chela isn't good enough for top 5-10 players.
And Troicki has game to beat Murray, Chela doesn't.

Murray is the huge favorite by the largest of margins. Chela should struggle to win games. Therefore, Murray will lose in straights.

Chela hits a bigger ball than Murray does on a consistent basis. He hits a bigger ball than Troicki does on a consistent basis. He's a more consistent server than Troicki, and he's less defensive. Falla is a totally different match-up and player in comparison to Murray, so that has no relevance to the match on Wednesday.

I expect at least a very tough match, but my mind tells me Chela will take it. I actually didn't say Prodon nor Bolelli would win, I said they could make their matches with Murray tough, and Simone at least did so.

Would you care to explain why Chela has not even got near to reaching a slam final never mind 3 if his game is this great? I certainly can't.
