Excellent comeback from Stani and now it's wasn't a choke from Tsonga. Wawrinka lifted his game, and didn't make as many mistakes in the last 3 sets helps hitting better length.

Last service game was hilarious.

Nice match. Good tennis.

Wawrinka CAN win the next round, but he'll bend over.

Great fight from Stan, was a good match going through the first three sets but tailed off a little in the latter stages.

Jo's fitness seemed to let him down while Stan was pretty unwavering in the last 2 so they never really felt out of his hands, a bit of drama in the final service game but he held his nerve well.

Not sure I'd fancy his chances vs Fed but you never know.

Brilliant fight, but Tsonga really should have won in straights, let alone in 4. :(

Tsonga was two points away, two or three times? Good fight from Wawrinka. Real power tennis from both.

Tsonga looked spent in the middle of 4th set.He needs to work a lot on his fitness to survive this long matches on clay

Must be said that point that Wawrinka broke back in the 3rd set has to be by far the best point of the tournament, if not year!

Stantastic after 46 67(3) 14 from defense in return was making step by step more and more offensive returns and Tsonga wasn't so fresh like he was before he isn't a guy for claycourt even so fast like it is in this year.

Allez Stanislas!!111

Just a ridiculous passing shot :worship:

Stan was quite good once he won that third set...thought he would fold when down the break in the 3rd. Tsonga was gone mentally and physically by the end, though I thought he would break back in the 5th

Stan, please play better against Roger

Don't expect the masses to understand that, but the Stani backhand down the line on the run from 4m behind the baseline very fine.

Pathetic match :o Clownga started the 4th up a break and this apparently pissed him off because he stopped trying and threw away the break and the set. Only started to care at the very end of the match but his fitness and mentality are a joke. Wawrinka is much worse than he should be, he makes so many clown errors every match I just assume it's part of his game.

Anyone saying this was a good match must have seen it in pieces, since both played well but never at the same time.

I enjoyed that match from the perspective of it's turning on a dime...when Tsonga fell into th e dirt the whole dynamic changed and Wawrinka steamrolled his way to victory. He could do no wrong...Tsonga could do nothing right.....

Good match and good turnaround. Very entertaining.

It was not a real choke because Wawrinka raise up his level but the 1st serve percentage from Tsonga was decreasing after his 64 76 41 lead to under 50% for the rest of the set.
And he missed 3 or 4 forehands in the middle of the third set.
So you can say that Tsonga let Wawrinka back in the game and Wawrinka was able to hang in there - mentally tough, well serving - for a nice 7-5 win in the 3rd set tiebreak, and this after he lost the 2nd set tiebreak 3-7.
The 4th and 5th set was very good from Wawrinka, he was physically stronger than Tsonga and played great. Tsonga lead 1-0 with break in the 4th set.

Wawrinka will not be tired against Federer but he has to play at his best just from the beginning and serve very well. If not, he will lose in 3 sets.

Thought Tsonga would clinch it at 6-4,7-6,4-1, but from that point on, Jo dropped that 1st serve %, and Stan picked it up.

Great comeback effort from Stan :hatoff:, I don't see him beating Roger in the next match though.

I wanted Fed to face Clownga, would have been much easier with his non existent return of serve.

A great match throughout the first three sets. Too bad my livestream went AWOL after Tsonga opened 4-1 in the third. I read Tsonga ran out of gas. A shame, he's such a talented guy.

Wawrinka seemed lost for 2 and a half sets out there. Poor shot selection, poor serving, poor everything. I guess he could've played a closer match from the start but he wasn't really there.

Mugwrinka remembered just in time that he must get a win here in order to bend down to his master in R4. Otherwise Olderer might not give him his daily doggie treat.
