That must be the most convincing win of his life, sounds like he never had a letdown and Stephane was really really bad

Robert probably spent the entire night partying after his Berdych win. Not entirely unexpected that he would selfdestruct but you kinda wished for some sensational fairy tale run from him

Fogiculous.

Fog was damn good though. Not one hint of being a highly punchable tool, which must be a first for him.

Should motivate him even more for Wimbledon, hopefully Berdych and Robert play each other there.

I hope so. A quarter-final appearance at Wimbledon would ensure a top 10 spot afterwards. But, losing to Robert is disgraceful. Hopefully, Berdych becomes more consistent and gets his head together.

As for Fognini, he played very well. Definitely a 4th round chance here, maybe even a quarter-final. He is top 30 talent, but he is such a mug sometimes.

Well, I don't give a crap about both of them but losing with this margin in a slam to a non top player is just

That this would happen was more predictable than that Hanescu would lose to Djokovic. Poor Berdych.

So what? There are players who played and won 3 consecutive 5 setters. He should have backed up his first round win to prove he isn't a worthless player.

Can't say the result was surprising. Robert was coming off the match of his life, there was almost no chance of a repeat. There is a reason he is a journeyman, after all, and it's not because of his consistency.

People are actually surprised?

Coming off a 5 setter and he's 31 years old. Doesn't help that he faces a pusher in his next round.

Fognini is not a pusher. He plays whatever strategy he wants, completely regardless of what seems to work...

...In most points he will counterpunch though.
