RG R2: Steve Darcis routines Philipp Petzschner 7-5, 6-4, 6-4misty1 05-25-2011, 02:13 PM good win for him..althoguh personally i would have liked to see picasso take this Ad Wim 05-25-2011, 02:14 PM Allez Steve! Now take Clownfils out. asmazif 05-25-2011, 02:15 PM oh petz... such a great chance to reach 3R  Congrats Steve :yeah: Luinir 05-25-2011, 02:16 PM First set was 7-5. Matt01 05-25-2011, 02:16 PM Ugggh. Petsche :smash: jonathancrane 05-25-2011, 02:17 PM :haha: What an overrated clown this Petzschner is ossie 05-25-2011, 02:17 PM petzschmug is the biggest clown in the atp, should be banned from playing tennis misty1 05-25-2011, 02:17 PM First set was 7-5. sorry, was looking at something else when i made the thread, will fix Agrajag 05-25-2011, 02:20 PM Petzschner had 54 4015* in the first set, but lost it completely and was down 57 *02. Such a shame to see him out, but at least Darcis is also an entertaining player to watch. Would have loved Picasso - Monfils, but it wasn't to be. StatRacket 05-25-2011, 02:21 PM Darcis' first ever Grand Slam 3rd round! Pretty surprising for someone with two ATP titles. straitup 05-25-2011, 02:22 PM Picasso just resting up for Wimbledon ;) Nah, Darcis is a good player on the clay but a good performance from him this year in Paris. Could challenge Monfils Luinir 05-25-2011, 02:22 PM Picasso is very inconsistent. Not a shock result really. It's a good win and great tournament for Steve overall but i think that he has no chance against Monfils. Filo V. 05-25-2011, 02:28 PM Steve is such a great talent. His movement really bothered Picasso today, he served well for the most part, hit nice passing shots, and Steve really took Picasso's game away by doing similar things Picasso does, but better. He was effective at the net, was authoritative and consistent from the baseline, and the difference of quality from the backhand side really showed itself in the match. I really think he may have a shot v Gael, but even if he does lose that match, it's been a great event for him and should give him a lot of confidence going forward. JMG 05-25-2011, 04:00 PM Unnecessary loss, as he basically had double match point in the first set. What makes it worse is that he had a relatively easy third round opponent. That means Petzschner will remain the most underranked player in the top 100. nadejda 05-25-2011, 06:03 PM Unnecessary loss, as he basically had double match point in the first set. The Hooded Claw 05-25-2011, 08:53 PM Very poor from Petz, but what else is new. At least he didn't blow a two sets lead this time. | |
