This match was all about the Prodon dropshot :worship:

Not a good match from Murray, but more than good enough to beat Prodon. Got broken serving for the first set at *5-3, but broke back the very next game to take the set. Pretty routine job after that. Physically Prodon was struggling a lot in the end.

Prodon was tired very fast, so he made slices even from forhand all the time.
Decent match by Murray.

Clayheart begins his Roland Garros campaign, negotiating perhaps the toughest draw any player has ever had to face.

Reasonably solid against a Santoro wannabe who must have been irritating to play.

Good variety in Prodon`s game but not a lot of consistency and average fitness for top level. When u think this guy was competing with the likes of Federer or Nalbandian in juniors u wonder what went wrong that he didn`t make it to the top level

Prodon looked tired by about the halfway point of the first set.

Murray looked in as good a mood as ever.

That variety became his standard play more and more the further the match progressed. In the first set he used the dropshot to surprise Murray, and it worked brilliantly, didn't lose a point in about 10 attempts, I believe? But later he just resorted to using the dropshot whenever the rally lasted more than a couple shots, probably because of his fitness. He didn't stand a chance the moment he started to play like that.

The commentators claimed Prodon had a lot of injuries, and never really found his way back after that.

Surely such a draw must include Murray Himself.

Good performance by Murray. Prodon proved to be a pretty tricky player and his drop shots were fairly awesome. Good enough play for the win by Murray, pretty straight forward and a good start to his French Open campain.

Murray's ridiculously easy draw might end up biting him in the end since it's not preparing him for anything. The guy he played today was so incredibly listless that I could barely stand to watch. He should have been triple bageled.

McEnroe was really critical of Prodon during the first set (calling him lazy, has "dumb" shot selection, flat footed, etc). And he was spot on. It was a pathetic display.

Murray will get trashed by a decent clay court player, looking forward to that.

So.. Dolgopolov eh? Fair enough. I look forward to that too.. and then I'll look backward at it too, for good measure.
