Form doesn't coun't when Kohli plays Youzhny, he beats him everytime. Should bring confidence after the Disaster two days ago. Thanks to Kohli Germany is in the final :)

youzhny's form might also have been a factor
8-9 this year, Bachinger and Lu being his wins in last month and a half

My bad... still, he's not exactly invincible on clay. Youzhny needs to pick up form fast

Youz 52nd in race, just total nothing atm. Seems to be heading back towards where he was two years ago.

Wow had no idea Youzhny's season has been THAT bad. Wth has happened to him past months anyway? Injury? Unless he picks it up he might do one of the biggest ranking drops on the tour in 2011

His RG draw will Misha gain points. He's very very lucky because he had R1 loss written all over him. Now he should make R3 at least.

Result was expected given the H2H and the fact Youzhny can't beat good players currently. Better pick it up before those USO points drop.

He had back problems and we all know what that can do to a player. I've said it several times but he looks way more lightweight than before, there isn't much in his game whatsoever. Players can just smack him around and he's not moving well.

Never in doubt.

Yeah, he has transitioned to a much more patient game. First career was your stereotypical Russian player, big flat hits being the signature, but since the last big comeback he was much craftier and patient, often quite defensive. Not that easy to maintain such a game year round against power as he gets older, he is 29 next month after all.

Maybe needs to make a third version of his game, a mixture of the first two.

This seems like a slightly similar scoreline to their Munich final from 07(?)...again Kohli just seems to do a lot better than Youzhny when they play each other. Plus Colonel is struggling much since the USO last year
