Javier was down a break in the third. *0-2 15-30. From there he controlled the rest of the match. Only one more win to go for the Spanish prodigy to make the MD.

12 breaks combined in the match.

Didn't see this one coming. Impressed here with Marti.

I like Marti a lot. Huge improvement upon the last few months. Spain will have another decent player soon. He's streaky (1-6 6-1 type of guy) and has been seen choking but I like his ease on court.

is it him or baluda-prukiss that everyone is excited about in spain?

He's got a slick game. He reminds me of Beto Martin a lot but he has more juice on his shots. He's quick and he's got a nice slice. He has a nice future, I don't know if he'll ever be a top 20 guy, but he's got good ability.

Marti, Boluda-Purkiss, Carreno-Busta and Carballes Baena ;)

A lot of people said Boluda was the next Spanish prodigy, the new face of Spanish tennis. Personally I think Carballes Baena and/or Marti has the most potential of these guys. And I'm not sure if any of them will be elite players.

Carballes Baena started to fire from all weapons in Futures, he and Jiri Vesely (AO champion) are the only players born in 1993. (or after) this year with titles
