Well, not a surprise. Neither player are in good form whatsoever but Gulbis has the power to be able to bully Fabio if he sets his mind to executing the gameplan. Maybe this will spark a resurgence. As for Fabio, he needs to start winning some matches.

Watched this whole match, had a large wager on Gulbis. Gulbis seemed very motivated from the get-go, haven't seen him that into it in awhile.

He did benefit from a little luck, as Fognini played extremely poor on the BP oppurtunies he had in the final two sets, for the most part. He had seven overall and couldn't take one.

Interview after the match:

French lady(in English): Erneststo, good win for you, but after that first set you had such a sad face?
