According to David's official website:

David ha tenido que abandonar el Torneo de Roma, quinto Master 1000 de la temporada, debido a un fuerte proceso gripal. David regresará a Valencia para recuperarse. Animo Crack!!

David has had to leave the tournament in Rome, fifth Master 1000 season due to a strong flu. David will return to Valencia to recover. Crack Animo!

Hope he can recover soon.

Besides, an earthquake attacked Spain. Wish the Spanish and David's family are all fine.

Aw, poor David! Get well soon, Ferru!

Hoping David's family is okay, too. Spain has had a lot of sad things happen lately.

How is sweet Ferru today? I hope he's feeling better.

Hope he didn't suffer from the earthquake, is it close to Java ?

The epicenter is Lorqua of Murcia, which is located in the southeast Espana. But sadly Murcia is Nicolas Almagro's hometown. Nico felt very depressed about it.

Hoping everybody in Nico's family is safe.

Something seems to be spreading through the Armada. Now Rafa is sick, too. Hopefully, both he and Ferru feel better soon.

Will Ferru pull out of Nice next week ? It would be a wise decision

05-14-2011, 02:18 AM
I hope Ferru is resting well and his family is taking care of him.

If he wasn't well... then I expect he took Meds advice... He's been on tour long enough not to be stupid about Med issues, OK?

Seems still to be OK for Nice... so we shall see.

He lost to Dolgo in Nice
He should have pulled out to rest IMO

05-20-2011, 02:50 AM
I agree! I hope he's not too tired for Roland Garros!

05-20-2011, 08:52 AM
Yes, Alex's serve was amazing yesterday. He got seven or more aces while David had only one. David is always good at receiption. He need a little timeout for RolandGarros.

05-20-2011, 11:04 AM
I also still agree that Ferru should have skipped Nice, but at least he now had a few days to recover...

Vamos Ferru in Paris :) He will play Nieminen in the first round!

05-20-2011, 02:07 PM
He"ll play arrogant clown Monfils in last sixteen...hope he'll win this time unlike in 2008...(awful match)
French crowd will support Monfils, hope it won't bother Ferru

05-21-2011, 06:08 AM
Ugh, Monfils! Another chest thumper like Nole! I remember he was very rude to Rafa in one match at the U.S. Open in 2009. I hope Ferru won't be too rattled.

05-21-2011, 11:39 AM
Monfils is always arrogant..remember his stupid attitude vs Roddick in RG 2009...and vs Nalby in DC tie 2010 in Lyon...
I dislike this Barnum clown who gives France a bad name
Hope Ferru will trash him this time
Vamos Ferru, I'll root for you

05-21-2011, 12:47 PM
Vamos, Ferru! He is so sweet!
