Before Smucav post it you can see the list on FFT site http://www.fft.fr/cms/GetDoc.asp?Type=5&ID=16493

Haas, Karlovic and Gonzalez use their PR. Mathieu who is 99# this week in the ATP ranking is not on the list he already withdraw.

DanaKz

PHM already withdrew.
Dustin Brown is so lucky, if he don't defend Joburg he will be around 130 next week, but he is in RG MD already.

Actually, you know what! It might well b Djokovic at 2 for the French. Rome and Madrid are crucial for the determination of the world number 2 going into the French ! Of course rafa will probably if not definitely take both!

Who do you think may withdraw?

IMO, these people are a chance of withdrawing....

Nalbandian - although he should be fit by then, you never know.
Haas - debatable whether he's ready for singles action.
Roberdo - depends on how severe his injury is....
Hewitt - his foot injury may take a while to recover from.

Anyone else?

Sorry for sounding mean-spirited, but it's an interesting thing.

How far down the alternate list is Bachinger?

He's 2nd on the qualy list but probably somewhat below on the alternate list ...

It seems as Nalbadian is OUT as will probably be the case for Del Potro. If so, Daniel is only 1 player to quit for him to enter.

He officially retired already, but said he would play Roland Garros if he enters...

Marcos is RETIRING?

Unhapply, yes. He injured many times, so, is hard to him to continue playing. Is better for his health that he retire. But i think he can enter in RG main draw and play his last tournament in Paris.

I am praying everyday Yen-Hsun Lu draws Go Soeda in the 1st round. That would be the greatest match of all time. No doubt about that.

Filo V.
05-13-2011, 02:51 AM
That would be interesting for sure, but then again, that means Soeda may actually win a MD GS match, which would be a joke.

I don't know. If there is someone who is potentially worse than Lu on clay in the Top 500, that's Soeda.

Richard Berankis hopes to play French open - According to his facebook site he is doing rehabilitation now. "I am currently doing a lot of rehab in Amsterdam on my groin/hip and getting back on court. I haven't been able to compete since Miami, which has been frustrating but I am starting to feel better each day and hoping to play in Paris".

How are decided the LL, random choices or high-ranks ?
Here is the rule.

Lucky Losers and Substitutions
i. Lucky Losers
Lucky Losers are those players who have lost in the final round
of the Qualifying competition or, if more Lucky Losers are
required, those players who have lost in the previous qualifying
rounds. Lucky Losers shall be selected based on the computer
rankings used for the determination of qualifying seedings as
follows:
The order of the four (4) highest ranked players shall be
randomly drawn, thereafter the order shall follow the players'
rankings, unless there are more than two (2) main draw
withdrawals at the time the Qualifying competition is finished
in which case the size of the random draw will be the number of
withdrawals plus two (2).
The Lucky Loser list will be posted each day at least one (1)
hour prior to the sign-in deadline which will be one-half (½)
hour before the first point is played in the first match. Such list
shall not be available for sign-in on the preceding day.
