It will be played after YOURTEAM CHAMPIONSHIP FINISH (April,30 to september)!
YOURTEAM 2011/2012 CHAMPIONSHIP will be played on OCTOBER 2011 to MARCH 2012.

YOURTEAM WORLD CUP´s - REWRITING THE WORLD CUPS HISTORIES

Predict the winners/draws and scores of 3 matches per round and defend your COUNTRY in this fantastic KNOCK OUT SYSTEM football game.

GENERAL RULES
a) in YOURTEAM WORLD CUP, the participants defends your COUNTRIES! 2 (two) participants will join and defend his flags.

It will be a week tournament. It would begin on Saturdays and finish on Wednesdays and it would have the following format:

TOURNAMENTS
- We will have 22 Tournament weeks on 2011 (beginning on APRIL,30 and finishing on SEPTEMBER, 2011).
- We will have a RANKING based on Number of Titles (GOLD MEDAL), Runner-ups(SILVER MEDAL), 3rd Places (BRONZE MEDAL) and 4th place (YOURTEAM SPECIAL MEDAL).
- In 2012 YOURTEAM WORLD CUP(next year), the teams defends your titles and the ranking will be continuous.
- We will (re)play the 22 FIFA WORLD CUP´s in 2011:

3) 1938 - FRANCE WORLD CUP (WEEK 3)

7) 1962 - CHILE WORLD CUP (WEEK 7)

9) 1970 - MEXICO WORLD CUP (WEEK 9)
10) 1974 - GERMANY WORLD CUP (WEEK 10)
11) 1978 - ARGENTINA WORLD CUP (WEEK 11)

TEAM COMPOSITIONS

All participants that play YOURTEAM CHAMPIONSHIP CLUBS are automatically committed at YOURTEAM WORLD CUP´s.

The TEAM COMPOSITION was determinated by YOURTEAM CHAMPIONSHIP CLUBS TOURN 4 FINAL CLASSIFICATION (Joining SERIE A and SERIE B results)

OBS1) BRUNOBEIDACKI/GREMIO (BRA) was the best brazilian club player, so he joined to the following best BRAZILIAN CLUB player to defend BRASIL1 at WORLD CUP (BRUNOBEIDACKI and DIRENAN). The other teams were formed like that.

OBS2) Players that are alone was joined them and defend 1 country in the first world cup and the other country at the following world cup. (CHINORIOS4EVER/COLO-COLO (CHI) and ACTION JACKSON/TROMSO (NOR) will play "URUGUAY 1930 WORLD CUP" by CHILE and "ITALY 1934 WORLD CUP" by NORWAY, alternately).

OBS3) TEAMS were positioned in growing order of points according to the YOURTEAM CLUBS TOURN 4 FINAL POSITION (BRUNOBEIDACKI 11pts + DIRENAN 9 pts = 20pts). So they are the TOP1 TEAM.

The 12 first teams play WEEK 1 (1930 URUGUAY WORLD CUP). The other ones will play QUALIFYING to the next WORLD CUP. They are: GALLINA/QUIRON (ARG), DEATHLESS MORTAL(CRO), DEXTER(ENG), MAGO#01(ARG). If they want, can join (like CHINORIOS4EVER and ACTION JACKSON) and play QUALIFYING.

NEW PARTICIPANTS

New participants must invite a friend and send picks (you and him). The priority is to play the WORLD CUP with a countryman. But if is not possible, you will be allocated just like TEAM COMPOSITIONS example “b” above.

If just you send your pick, I´m sorry, but you will be out from that week WORLD CUP, ok?

The NEW TEAMS will be done according the manager pick receiving order.


TOURNAMENT WEEKS (1 to 22)
We have a knock-out SYSTEM.

a) SATURDAYS

R12
- We have a draw with the 12 participants countries. "URUGUAY 1930 WC" had the following matches: 1x12; 2x11; 3x10; 4x9; 5x8; 6x7 (According to the YOURTEAM TOURN 4 CLUBS FINAL POSITIONS). The following World Cups will have the same matches (1x12; 2x11; 3x10; 4x9; 5x8; 6x7) according to the last World Cup Final Classification.
OBS: The last positions are substituted for the QUALIFIERS TEAMS.

- The 6 winners more 2 Lucky-losers (best result in R12) classify to R8 and classify to next WORLD CUP. The losers will play QUALIFYING to the next WORLD CUP (beginning on TUESDAY).
OBS: Please, look the QUALIFYING RULES above.

b) SUNDAYS

R8
- The 4 winners classify to SEMIS.


c) TUESDAYS

SEMI

- The 2 winners classify to FINAL GOLD MATCH. The losers will play the BRONZE Medal Match.

- R12 worst losers will fight the other teams (who sent his picks) and will play the next World CUP QUALY Round 1. The number of SPOTS will be maximun of 4.

d) WEDNESDAYS

- FINAL GOLD MATCH and BRONZE MEDAL MATCH!

- We have the next World CUP QUALY Final Round here. After 2 matches, the winners teams in this knock-out-system will classify to the next World Cup.

- MATCHES WINNER DETERMINATION
In the game, participants pick the winners (or draws/ties) AND SCORES of all available matches (total of 3 matches in the round) of any Football Championships/Friendly Matches in the world (clubs or countries).

The WINNER of your match will be determinate looking at the correct winners (or ties) picks done. One correct pick = 1 GOAL!!
OBS: The scores picks will be used just for the TIE-BREAK SYSTEM.

IF we have a DRAW in number of correct winners(or ties) picks, the winner will be determinated by:

TIE-BREAK SYSTEM (AFTER SWITZERLAND 54)
a) Total Number of Correct Scores
b) The team that picked the correct winner (or draw) at first in the MANAGER ORDER OF PICK.
c) First to have a Correct score according to the OOP.
d) Total Number of exact team number of gols.
e) First to have a Correct GOLS AVERAGE pick according to the OOP.
f) The team that picked the exact winner team number of goals at first in a scheduled match in the MANAGER ORDER OF PICK.
g) Best position in the last World CUp.

TIE-BREAK SYSTEM (WCUPS 30,34, 38, 50 and 54)
a) TotalNumber of correct scores.
b) First to have a correct score according the Order of Pick.
c) First to have a correct GOALS Average pick according to the Order of Pick.
d) The team that picked the exact winner team number of goals at first in a scheduled match in the MANAGER ORDER OF PICK.
e) The team that picked the correct winner (or draw) at first in the MANAGER ORDER OF PICK.
f) The team that sent picks at first (including the two players).


- HOW TO PICK?
All participants send your picks to the all rounds (Qualifiers, R12, R8, SEMI and FINAL matches) using a single MP. The deadline will be on FRIDAY , 22h GMT (19h in brazilian time).

Not sure this is what was applied for Uruguay 1930 tournament for my match.

Where is it specified that this is equivalent to Fiorentina 1x0 ?

Hello, if this thread is the management thread, I would suggest a few enhancements for this game (but anyway up to the manager to decide if these rules change or not):

- first one is about the matches. I would suggest a thread where participants of the propose their matches for the upcoming world cup. The goal is to have as criterion diversity of matches, importance of the match, the fact that match likely to be tight or not ...

- then about the tie-breaker:

a) TotalNumber of correct scores.
b) First to have a correct score according the Order of Pick.
c) First to have a correct GOALS Average pick according to the Order of Pick.
d) The team that picked the exact winner team number of goals at first in a scheduled match in the MANAGER ORDER OF PICK.
e) The team that picked the correct winner (or draw) at first in the MANAGER ORDER OF PICK.
f) The team that sent picks at first (including the two players).

I would suggest that, in order to keep interest until the 3rd match is played, that the MANAGER ORDER OF PICK be in the opposite of the chronological order.
