This thread takes into account the relative performance of players against Top 10 Players dividing their overall W-L by their vs-Top10 W-L.
For players with at least 10 matches against Top 10. *

It could be read as "how probable is for a player to win a match against a Top 10 compared to a regular match". **

*updated before IW 2011 for TOP 100 Players
** Actually as top 10 matches are also in the overall W-L it isn't exactly like that. Maybe an "Overall less top 10 matches" would be a better variable
***There is a strong bias for top players. All I can think is to do T10/OVERALL*OVERALL. But that would lose the "real life meaning of the result

Love the stats thanks! I was surprised at Schuettler but then realised that a player who was at the top for a little bit (and got a few top ten wins then) and then stayed at lower rankings for a while (and decreased his winning %) will have a good result.

Yes, there are lots of ways to trick the stats. Schuettler's case is a bit weird there aren't many players who, after being ranked so high (Nº 4) kept playing as old journeymen. Gotta love the game.

Surprising over-representation of italians among the worse ranked. Bolelli with 0-24 :tape:
Also, Robredo gives another reason to be disliked
