Just a quick Poll to see how globally widespread Federer fans are

Asia - India

Talent is respected everywhere - by people who knows the value of it. Does'nt matter if Roger is not recognised in some parts of the world.

How global is he? Well as far as I know he can only be in one place at a time ;)

To answer the poll I'm in the UK, so I guess that counts as Europe (although it isn't to a lot of people round here).

I'm from Asia.

There is a similar pool in Rogi's official site forum. In there I think N. America and Asia have the most fans. Will be interesting to see if that will be the case again here :D

I'm sure there are more of us... but then again, I think the Aussies might be prone to following pretty boys, rather than the ones that play tennis so well ;) I know a few people who dont like the guy...because he's so good :tape:

Rogi, like Juanqui, has a lot of Asian fans and that's great!

CANADA loves you too, Rogi!! English and French.

Roger is quite global. And that's simply amazing. From Asia, Europe. North America.... he has faithful fans from all the corners of the world.

Some of them may not speak English or German to communicate with him or other fans outside their countries, but they know the language of tennis. They know his style and his personality, the style we've all discovered day by day.... The Roger we've come to appreciate and follow all year long....

I'm genuinely happy for him. He's giving wonderful things to this sport. He's a true blessing. :)

Silvy, from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
He is my number one ever.
I like Guillermo Coria, too and Moya but all my heart is with Rogi since I saw him playing for the First time. we are not lots of South american, but I think the number is HUGE if you understand Roger never been here, on OPEN TV we hardly see tennis programs, Football is the UNIQUE biggest thing for most of latin americans... SO if you analise this things.. its a big number... besides that, on roger site theres a couple more of argentinina fans that do not come very often to this great forum

Frustrating not to see that many south americans around. Well, tennis isn't much of a popular sport around in Brazil (it's more in Argentina and Chile, I reckon), but he does have his share of brazilian fans. In Orkut, his brazilian community has more than 1.500 members :D

in my country... they know roger as tennis player, but they really don't know how great his dominance in tennis. i think they just know that roger is always win without knowing how the process is. maybe because tennis match in my country doesn't be showed up for free on TV... they love football/soccer better than tennis. especially EPL and italian league, or spanish. so, it's bit harder for me to gath tennis fans, esp roger's fan in my local forum...

^Sue^
