Tsonga made some nice shots in the 2nd set, but the outcome was never in doubt.

The result was always NID. I just knew Tsonga would choke in the TB.There was no choke. Tsonga made one UE at the beginning and then his returns were awful (but they were during the whole match). Suddenly the score was 5-2* for Federer and it was already over.

Tsonga has an average backhand and is not the best returner and guys who hit the ball early like Federer or Davydenko are moving Tsonga around not allowing him to go for his forehand

Inconclusive test for Federer.

It's nice to see Federer wanting to meet Nadal more and more in order to learn something about his new powerful HC play. I think he will find easier to return Rafa's bomb serves with every match they will play. He will be prepared in the future and, eventually, a Grand Slam victory will come for Roger in a final against the spaniard.

OK match. Not much to be gleaned from this result. Davydenko will present an entirely different challenge tomorrow. This Tsonga just cannot win 7 five setters in a row to win a major. I just don't see it yet.

Jo really needs to work on ROS,I know Fed's serve can be vicious but he should have handled it better.Jo was finally starting to hold his own in baseline rallies with Fed in the 2nd set,he really let loose with that FH and followed it up to the net to knock off volleys beautifully but Fed's serve just remained an enigma for him the whole match.Would have liked to see 3 sets but overall a nice match.

Tsonga had a good run, but Federer is obviously too good for him.
