Slowest player in the top 50?

While I was watching Soderling-Ebden I heard a commentator say that every player in the top 50 is 'lightning quick'. I'm not sure I agree with this which leads me to ask: who do you think is the slowest player in the top 50?

Hopefully my poll is OK this time. Top 50 is a rough guide; feel free to mention other players (besides Karlovic) outside the top 50, but preferably well known ones and/or ex top 50.

Isner, Karlovic, or Almagro

Mugro and Karlovic

Verdasco has slowed down significantly since AO 2009. He used to run down loads of balls, now he gives up halfway there :o

OMG all spaniards and croatians :D

Ljubicic no doubt.

I'm just going to point out some players that are not so quick, rather than the slowest not including those already mentioned.

Querrey
Fish
Chardy
Wawrinka
Llodra
Bellucci

Read opening post? OP is fine with mentions of people not in top 50, Karlovic was mentioned particularly. So I will also mention Del Potro who I would not describe as lightening quick, and who I would expect to be back in the top 50 before too long.

My bad, only read the first paragraph.

But yeah it has to be Karlovic.

any player that 6'6" in height or taller is the answer that your looking for.

Karlovic from his former times. Today Isner was very shit against Murray too, definitely not a Speedy Gonzalez.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. Age doesn't help either. Combine the both and you've got Ljubicic... What's Almagro's and Chardy's excuse?

Karlovic, easily. His movement is very slow and so his opponents can hit winners off of even slow-paced groundstrokes.

A bit sad he has no game apart from that serve and reach at the net....that height of his is more of a curse than a blessing for tennis.

Idk, Cilic moves pretty smooth. BTW, StatRacket, Ljubo is 6'4 or so, not as tall

It's a bit unfair to Kevin Anderson not including him in the poll. He is about to move into the top 50 and he could be in the running for this title.

karlovic followed by isner.......both absolute shit when it comes to moving their frames 1 inch either side........karlovic is better at the net though which makes him watchable........

@forehander

soderling and verdasco are NOT SLOW, but they can easily be wrong-footed........

Mugro isn't slow. He just can't move outside of clay.

That they're both mugs? :D Although I definitely don't think Almagro should be in a slowest of the slow conversation..

Gasquet. Maybe not the slowest but a dreadful mover for his body type

Good thing about Karlovic is that he doesn't have to be that fast because of his size. Two strides and he's crossed the court, but his control of the ball is the reason he doesn't do better in rallies.

If he had a good backhand and a good forehand he would be a constant top 20 player.

Karlovic and Almagro are the slowest players by far.

I honestly think Soderling is top 3. Behind Ljubicic, probably about tied with Isner and Chardy. It was Karlovic easily when he was top 50

Soderling has worked hard on his footspeed...compared to like 2007, he is much faster I think. But he is still definitely one of the slower ones

I'd say Söderling deserves a mention here. I dont see him faster than lopez for example.

Mugro when you take into consideration he's also pretty slow in the brains department.

Looks like life doesn't imitate art. Comes across very reserved and awkward on court.

Yep, his little shuffling steps, or watching him defending 10 feet behind the baseline, side to side, looks like a mess of arms and legs, as if he doesn't have full control of his body. You'd think a fucking puppetmaster was secretly controlling him against his will. And if that were true, well then he gets a shitload of respect from me. Must be a hellish existence day to day, especially to wipe...

Cilic doesn't belong in this poll as he actually moves pretty well for his height  He can make some great gets during points that other guys in his height range typically can't.

I think Karlovic, Ljubicic and Isner are the 3 slowest in the top 50 range
