Not sure if Nikolay is completely "back" but this is a promising result, and he can make a statement if he beats Rafa. That said, Rafa wins in 3 I think

Too much moonballing for Kolya tomorrow . If Koyla wants to beat Nadal he has to be at his very very best and I doubt that he is capable for that

Allez

Koyla is not the player he was a year ago. Even dripping sick with fever Rafa will sail through in two sets.

Davydenko is leading their h2h so he can certainly beat Nadal on any given day.Hopefully it will a good match just like last year.

Davy takes this one easily he is 5-1 against nadull on HC ,having won the last 5 encounters.
He will break nadull's serve multiple times.

Says in the OP that he requested a MTO?

Says in the OP that he requested a MTO?

he didn't. he asked for the trainer during the time-off between games because he was sweating too much but he didn't ask for a medical time-out. the trainer told him he needed to drink more water btw.

after the match he played doubles with marc lopez which tells us he's okay. they won in 2 sets.

He played doubles yesterday too when it was even more obvious there was something with him.

Not a Nadal fan so I have no stake in this, but after watching all his matches so far, I don't think he's 100% at all, but that's just me

We'll have to disagree on what constitutes a "great" Nadal performance, but he plays the same way tomorrow and he's toast against Davydenko and that's not even counting the fact that Davydenko stands up to him on HC.

His level today was pretty good, except for that odd period in the first set where he gifted back a break then went 0-40 on serve. Did the same vs Lacko yesterday, except for a whole set.

He's said he's on antiinflammatories and antibiotics, so not overly surprising things aren't ideal. Small margins for top pros.

I gotta believe Rafa wants this one real bad, cause Davy's given him so much hell the last couple of times they've played. Davy isn't as razor sharp as he was this time last year, but I would never put anything past him. This might be the biggest test of the week for Rafa, so I hope he gets plenty of rest and comes prepared, because Davy will come out swinging and if Rafa makes any mistake, he'll pay big time. I think this will go 3, but I'm hoping Rafa will win in a tight 2 sets.

I haven't seen the performances this week thanks to school :(

But I will get to see the semifinal tomorrow hopefully.

This game can go 50/50 either way.

It is irrelevant.

What is relevant are the slams, and I'm more than sure if Nadal faced Kolya, Nadal would take this clown out.

Davydenko can only play masters, at the slams he has shit endurance.

If you don't believe look up the last match against Federer at the AO, he wasted his energy on the first set, had some energy left in the 2nd, then the 3rd and 4th had 0 gas left.

The guy seriously needs to work on that endurance. He has the game, but lacks endurance/stamina/perseverance.

its a totally worthless event except for the top 2: they get to collect massive appearance fees. and now only if they would learn to bail the hell out after 2-3 matches.

clay warrior--and they do call him "the warrior" by the way--is on the verge of fucking up.

he is sick and he says he is tired as hell. so why not bail. or just play some 1/2 ass doubles and get the hell out.

the problem is that he tries too damn hard at both.

the risk is too great for injury at the moment.

davydenko can't save you.

best post in here.

totally agree. nadal should withdraw.

i guarantee nadal will lose to federer if they meet. nadal cant return for shit and cant hold his serve for shit.
playing singles and doubles with a fever shows that his support team are a bunch of brainless baboons. i mean where are guys like carlos costa telling him to withdraw.

im soooooo f**king pissed:mad::mad::mad:. same shit happened in 2009 during the clay season but the fool never learned.

why would u play a 50% and give all the confidence to the locker room that they can beat u and lose that aura.
once u give others belief, they start believing that they can beat u.
u give them an inch and they take it a mile.

he will go to australia and say the fever is worse because he didnt rest and that he is tired.

the guy never learns his lesson until disaster strikes him like in 2009.
remember he used to get tired every freakin year at the end of the season and did nothing to change his schedule until he lost the french open by playing rotterdam and all the MM shit and finally realised it after 4 years making the same mistake.

we like to mock federer but give the guy some credit, atleast he knows how to plan a smart schedule and knows his limits and give his body enough rest to peak for the majors. our guy rafa just plays every small crap tournament and burns himself out and come the grand slam he is running on fumes either tired or injured and we gotta come and defend his arse every freaking time.

next time instead of holding banners in the crowd saying 'vamos rafa', hold banners saying 'stop overplaying you moron', and not because we hate u, but because we love u and want u to do well. its because we care. it hurts when he makes the same mistake over and over again and never learns from it, atleast learn from ur mistakes.

thats my rant done for the day.lol

you could not have said it any better........can you believe that he took just 4 days off in the off-season?

i have been a fan of this living legend/possible GOAT for almost 7 years now but never understood his freaking scheduling activity........

immortality awaits this idiot with open arms........all he needs to do is schedule better and enter the slams at 100%........instead he fights his guts out for chicken shit events like doha, barcelona, indian wells, miami and tires himself out looking like the maddest fool in the world.......

i never understood how this fool forgets all the time that no one can near him on clay and grass for the next 4 or 5 years if he just stays fit.......he can close his eyes and swing to win as many french opens as he wants and open his eyes and swing to win as many wimbledons as he wants.......for the moment it looks like he is playing only for 250 events and retire.......

Davy will falter and lose in straights to Rafa. Look at last year's final: Davy in amazing form, Rafa in good form but not mentally, Davy still got bageled and saved 2 match points. You think this year with Davy coming back from playing like crap and Rafa riding the biggest high of his career that Rafa isn't just gonna whip this little Russian off the court? well I guess we'll see tomorrow.

Rafa is taking all February off. That's a hell of a change compare to those last years: no Rotterdam, no Dubai.
But 2 exhos and 5 games on hard in Doha before AO are the least he needs to get his rythm. Except flu was not foreseen in the program. Antibiotics should made his work by now, hopefully so.
No doubt, he will prevail over Davy tomorrow...and probably win his doubles, to help his friend Marc, as he said!!!
