Nice to see talent in Goffin, the more decent youngsters the better.

Good match by Goffin, experience won it for Wawrinka.

Really bad he was on the defense all the time. Blocking every return and when he really wanted to go for a ball, it went wrong. Except in that first point of the TB, which is a good thing.

Not bad by Stan. He had some difficulties and unfortunately, he can't be a major threat in Melbourne, yet. Anyway, a win is a win. QF against Haase.

Goffin is a decent youngster. Hope, he breaks soon in top 100. :)

I watched 3 Goffin's matches at this tournament (nah, nearly makes me look like a devoted fan  ) ad the chap has presented himself as very promising. He owned more experienced opponents and gave good fight to Wawrinka as well. On a positive side against weaker opponents even when break down or so he kept fighting and stayed focused.

Goffin has much more potential
This. He has everything to be a great player, FH is good, BH is great, serve is a weapon, and his attitude on court is great. Only problem from what I saw today is his volleying skills, they weren't exactly bad but they weren't great either. I think if he could get that sorted out it'll help his game, has quite a lot of easy power and if he were able to finish more rallies at the net it would help his game a lot, similar to what Berdych did last year I suppose. Top 100 player for sure.

I saw him losing to Dustin Brown in 3 consecutive weeks one and a half year ago. He was a bit whiny on court back then and didn't look like a huge talent. Darcis has already won 2 big titles in his career, so much more potential would mean something like top 15 to me. I also saw him vs Dimitrov and found Dimitrov more promising.

I hope to see in the future a little bit more of "Stan the Man" and see him make several QF runs, and a few SF runs.

He has an amazing package (game), but he needs to remain consistent.

Defeating Andy Murray was a sign of GOING OVER the hump, gave him some confidence. Maybe he needs a few more wins over some top players, but regardless I think he will stay around the 4th round/QF most of the time, with perhaps a SF stop.

"Good Goffin" has exactly the same weight as "Great Muster" after his match against AHM...

Most top 200 players are in this range of tennis, but ppl tend to rate them clueles coz they never saw them play.

They can play tennis, big majority of them.

But against a motivated rather top player, the score would be 6-3 6-2

Wawrinka was just floating around with no ideas, no passion and no desire. He just waited the match to finish, rallie after rallie.

Seems that his personal issues have a serious impact on his motivation. Not good for AO unfortunately

I was really impressed with Goffin actually, but I'm not sure he will have as much success on the ATP tour as I think someone of his talent deserves. I was taking a look on his profile and his height is listed as 5'4" (163cm). Is this an old height, or has he taken over from his fellow countryman Olivier Rochus as one of the shortest male tennis professionals?

Also, does anyone find it funny that Goffin was wearing Fed's gear from the summer hard court season?
