Ernests in 2. :o

Typical.

Top player struggles with much lower ranked player, then gets his act together against a higher ranked foe.

Nadal in two, like 7-5, 6-3.

he might not play at all if he is running fever.

we will have to wait and see.

Nadull_tard

Yeah, right. I can bet my house that Nadal will rise like a phoenix and play his very best tennis.

Gulbis in easy two, delivering bagel and breadstick in a process

Gulbis could make this a very uncomfortable match for Nadal, but providing he doesn't withdraw or retire from the match, I'm sure Nadal will find a way to win. Were Gulbis playing Nadal today, it could have been a straight set victory for the Latvian, but I just can't envisage Rafa playing as poorly as he did in the second set against Lacko again.

Rafa will probably withdraw if the fever is really bothering him.

Clay Death
01-05-2011, 05:58 PM
right. if he stays up all night coughing and shit, he is a no show tomorrow fo sho.

his parents will see to that.

After this Nadal's 0-6?
I vote for Gulbis. In 3.

Topspindoctor

He should withdraw. Immediately.

After a good nights sleep with his hot water teddy, Rafa in 3.

Clay Death

probably should topospin doc.

he is insane if he plays his doubles match now.

its time to pack up the tent and move on.

but, as others pointed out nadull has not been impressive this week, the difference is that his first opponent just wasnt that good.

today's nadal + today's gulbis = win for gulbis

ill say gulbis in 3

finishingmove
01-05-2011, 06:05 PM
This will be easier than the Lacko match, because Gulbis will defeat himself basically.

misty1
01-05-2011, 06:06 PM
if the fever is getting worse(if there is one) than health should come first
and he should withdraw but he wont because evidentally health comes second to him.

Nadal in 3, I just have a feeling. But Gulbis can definitely win this given how Rafa has looked so far

I hope Gulbis wins. That way Rafa can rest until the Australian Open.

Yeah, right. I can bet my house that Nadal will rise like a phoenix and play his very best tennis.

Sadly I also believe this will happen, but Ernests won´t go easy

If he is so sick, he HAS to lose. He should make it 3-6 4-6 and goes to Australia. He'll need 2-3 days to get healthy and then a week to train. And then... to win Australian Open.

Allez

Nadal's had the wake up call he needed. He'll cruise in 2.

Gulbis has the game but not the mentality to trouble nadull if he plays.

Nadal is currently playing doubles. I doubt there is much wrong with him.

RedHotRafa

Nadal in 2 if his fever clears up, if not then 3 sets

if nadal has a flew or something he really shouldnt be playing. He needs to go home and rest not run around the tennis court to give the organizers they're dream fedal final.

however he just smoed his opponents in dobules so i doubt he's to affected

Tough to say how Nadal is feeling regarding tomorrow`s match. The doubles was a missmatch anyways with 2 local players against 2 good players.
Hopefully Nadal will play and if he does i expect a good match.Gulbis gave Nadal trouble in the past when the Spaniard was fully fit so anything is possible

Hopefully Rafa withdraws or Gulbis wins if they play. Rafa should be in bed and getting healthy for AO. Playing sick in Doha is so stupid

Well, Rafa did play a doubles immediately after, and won in 35 minutes (albeit against a local WC pairing), so clearly he isn't too ill to spend even more time on court...

Gulbis CAN make life very difficult for Rafa, but we know how erratic he can be from one match to the next. I wouldn't write off Rafa by any means.

gulbis has good chance because loose women are illegal in doha so gulbis will be more focussed here than in melbourne... in melbourne very many loose dirty women and gulbis will have trouble...

He actually is sick. he said so before his first round match too. and he won 6-3 6-0.

someone needs to get rid of that fool fransisco roig, useless coach/adviser.

why is he playing if he has a fever, it will get worse when u get more tired, u lose energy.

hope gulbis beats rafa if rafa doesnt withdraw.

This is a tough match. I like both players too.

Im going to say Nadal, but Gulbis could make this very difficult for him.

Gulbis will win if Rafa's fever is still hanging around, Gulbis in 2 if that is the case.

Lets hope it has disappeared, and Rafa wins, and gets his revenge against Davy in the SF (if Davy gets through Dr Ivo)
