Great match by Jo.
I'm so happy for him :)

:worship: :worship: :worship:

Excelent serve, very good volley.
That perfect FH is coming back, so good serve-return.
I hope he can stay in that shape.

BAGEL!

Oh MY Gosh. Actually watched the 2nd set. Hidalgo was Awful with the capital 'A'. His points mostly were: net , net , out , net , out , out , out. What's he doing in the top 80 with this game? Tsonga was laid back, easy victory.

RRH is what 33 years old ? How much longer can he hang around ?

Jocould pleyed his eyes closed, too good for RRH

Can't read anything into this. Hidalgo was using his ranking to take a holiday in Doha. he hasn't won an ATP hardcourt match in 4 years and that was only because he drew a local who was ranked outside the top 1000 in this event in 07.

Still, Jo did what he had to. Played a relatively low risk game, worked on some serves you don't see all that often and got the job done quickly.

Good. Since that match against Federer in Monte Carlo 08´ I have hated that guy.

 You're an unforgiving man. Didn't Rogi win the match anyway ?

4 winners? Did he get possessed by the ghost of Wozniacki during this match?

20 winners- 14 u.e. clearly made the match by alì tsonga.

Nothing surprising in the scoreline, as Henry C suggests. Ramirez is too light-weight to trouble the likes of Tsonga on a hard court.

A long time, trust me  He hasn't changed a single bit in five years, not even one wrinkle more than he had in 2005. He's immortal :haha:

Bad result for Jo.

Against RRH, on this surface, losing two games is not a good result.

what did he do?

My guesses:

a, lost
b, tried to play a shot between the legs, which was finally out

he should've beaten 'clay great' fed then

I think Tsonga/davy should prevent a fedal final.

Unfortunately it's not the wrinkles outside which matter. It's the ones inside his muscles...hidden from our view  He looks the same but he moves like an ancient man ;)

I think it will show on clay. On hard he's always moved like this, that means almost didn't move at all :D

so he hates him because he lost and missed a tweener

I don't know. But I know the tweener made a lot of Fed fans angry, they took it as a personal offense that a nobody like this dared to even think he could play a tweener against Fed.

The others maybe hate him because if he beat Fed, Fed would likely hang up his racquet and only played tennis on a playstation afterwards.

Good, good JoJo. I am happy with the win, his forehand worked at 65-70%, but he needs to improve more if he wants to reach the final and then to make a good performance in Melbourne.

beating a clown like RRH, it's easy. Federer and Nadal it's another story. for JWT, the story ends in semis.

Probably, but he needs to play and winning is a very good alternative.
If he continues this way, he could make some good tournaments in the year and beat the top 10.
We'll never know with Tsonga.
