I don't like/dislike players because of character, but because of game, and Serena has improved her game (and clothes :tape: ) big time, and even before I was a fan of Vee (who is one of my top fave players). I might not be the best to talk to, im a bit young, but I dont talk AT ALL about my sex life with my mom. It is simply not her business, and even if it was, it would be the most awkward thing ever

"Hey mom, I had some great sex today"

"How was it?"

"I made her moan like a cow in grazing" :o :o :o

Not gonna happen :o

:rolls: I now have a really great image of cows "grazing." Great.

My parents and I don't really talk about sex. Well my dad used to ask me about sex, but the whole bi thing makes him uncomfortable  He used to ask me if I got a lot of lovin', but yeah, we don't really talk about sex . My mom still thinks I should wait until I'm married to have sex. She's very old fashioned. She doesn't even talk about sex with her girlfriends  she blushes @ Sex and the City, so yeah, she not very comfortable talking about sex at all.

I dunno, I guess it just depends on the relationship that people have with their parents. Who knows

So you have a dad being awkward about you being bi, and an old fashioned mom. Yeah it would be weird to talk about sex in those circumstances.

I never discuss my sex life with my parents, nor they me with theirs. I have a very healthy, happy relationship with my mother and step-father but we've never felt the need to go there. The closest we have come was when I asked them a couple of years ago if they were swingers.

They're not, apparently, by the way.

They're not swingers? Are you sure? They could be lying. ;) I keed, I keed.:silly:

My parents are strange people. I talk to my mom about some of the things that go on with me, but I hold back a lot. She is conservative Catholic, and would be very surprised about how I am. She has become more open minded than she was earlier in life, but not much. I treat her like a child in that respect, because I care about her and don't want to offend her.

That being said, she has referred to me as (her exact words)- A PREDATOR. Obviously, she's not totally in the dark. :p

My father is a slut. Plain and simple. He is a skirt chaser, with an aversion to being faithful. A manipulative player, really. I can talk to him about anything, however inappropriate. I don't, because we don't really get along.

He is a Republican, meat eating, former Frat Boy- stereotypical Irish jock type. As long as I cut him a check from whatever business venture it is, he doesn't give a shit if I am making money from directing midget porn. ;)

Yeah, there are times where I'm still on the ship, but so far, so good.

Wow, your parents sound like total opposites of each other. I'm amazed that they got together at all.

It's nice to know that I'm not alone in the not talking about sex with my parents thing. My mother is not conservative or deeply religious, but sex talks just doesn't happen. No way am I ever going to talk about orgasms with her.

My dad's not in my life so I can't say really what he's like.

Mhh, anyway I think I know only Fee, Sue and Jon from here :p I'm Nathii, 21 y.o. from Poland but also with Belgian/Austrian/native American roots (yeah usually it's American with Polish roots), and I'm a law student (and trainee lawyer) and a journalist - I used to work for local press and especially liked the social issues and travels (had to deal as well with politicians at the age of 16/17 and I actually did school them :tape: ) but right now I write only about tennis.

Oh RA.

My dad and I are oddly open about sex. My mother not so much but that's because she's real old school. I mean we don't have highly serious conversations but I tease him about his porn habits and taking my mom away just to have sex.

My sex life doesn't come up that often, but if he's in the right mood we'll joke about that too. Mostly he'll give me this look and tell me he doesn't care who I did last night and to get to work anyway.

We aren't the norm though.

That's funny. I don't tease my mom about anything sexual, but I do mock her for loving soap operas so much. Of course she teases me about my tennis obsession so really, we're even.:p

If I take anything away from "Because I Said So" other than meddling mothers need to get laid, is the phrase "Hot Dog With a Bun." I'll never look at hot dogs the same way again.

Don't worry about the movie, you're not missing anything. It's a typical romantic comedy, the kind of movie that you know how it's gonna end the second it starts.

Never got Mandy Moore's appeal myself and this movie didn't help matters in that department. Although if it wasn't for her, I might never knew who Fluff was and I may never have gotten into tennis and discover Kinky, Loveslut, and the rest of them. So I thank her for dating him actually.:worship:

What the most likely reason is is because its too good to be true. He sees that he has all these awesome girls and its just too good, he has to do soemthing else, to spice it up a bit. Now, if that something else means fucking it up, I guess thats his decision to make

Men crave sexual variety, and will use whatever duplicitous means to achieve that. They do not believe it when women tell them that they are able to handle a sexual relationship without getting emotionally attached.

They want to keep you there, while continuing to look for other tail. They fear that you will not be okay with them sleeping with others, so they create drama, nonsense, and lies to keep you on the leash.

If people were honest, none of this would happen. Men are not monogamous by nature, and most women cannot separate sex from love, no matter what they claim. If you CAN, it doesn't matter- men don't believe you anyway, because they don't WANT TO. Either way, you're fucked.

That's why, I am a big supporter of women having one night stands. Just keep them at a distance, or a revolving door. If you continue to fuck the same person, never have just one, and don't see him that often. Familiarity breeds contempt. :)

Because some men (and some women, but usually men) just simply cannot handle and adult relationship based on trust and honesty - it blows too many circuits and they exhibit behaviour that will destroy that relationship, even though that's not actually what they want to happen.

This is even if they are allowed, within the rules of the relationship, to have fun with other people.

Save having children together, and that one inexplicable goof that exists to DRAW them together to have little squirts in the first place, there is no point. :)

but, if this is not a love relationship then we must be friends & friends have to be honest to one another, i mean learning of this girls existence because she texted me from his old # and told me he's busy spending time with his "girl" (which he would never say) is vile & puketred & makes me want to do something...unfortunately i am famous for horrible decision making when i'm upset...like seriously i go out of my way to be destructive to myself & all near by.

Primal schmimal. Women overthink, and men underthink. The two are fundamentally imcompatible. I have said this forever.

Save having children together, and that one inexplicable goof that exists to DRAW them together to have little squirts in the first place, there is no point. :)

God bless those who defy me on this, but more often than not, all that exists after the act is assorted treacle. :p
I don't believe in God, but if I did, this would be as valid a reason for thinking God was a man than any I've ever heard.

Because it clearly wasn't thought through properly.

The thing that hurts me the most is, i pride myself on being the type of girl you can say anything to, as much as he wanted, i never wanted to be his girlfriend...so how could i be pissed that he found one that does?

but, if this is not a love relationship then we must be friends & friends have to be honest to one another, i mean learning of this girls existence because she texted me from his old # and told me he's busy spending time with his "girl" (which he would never say) is vile & puketred & makes me want to do something...unfortunately i am famous for horrible decision making when i'm upset...like seriously i go out of my way to be destructive to myself & all near by.

worst of all is that, i don't really care...but i care:Arrrrrrrrgggg!:

It's just really bases upon years of field research, both for myself and my friends. I hate seeing women twist themselves into so many pretzel knots wondering about the in's and out's of interpersonal relationships.

I could really unload with the truth as I see it, but I don't want any tears about this kind of thing. For women, having man related pain in their lives is bullshit. Enough said.

Romanticism is nice but it's incredibly blind. It has a place and that place is in fiction novels. It's not real. It leads people into darkness and confusion because reality never matches up to the fantasy. It's a treacherous whore that deludes people and lures them in with siren song then craps on them from a serious height.

Part of the reason so many people are in shitty relationships with incompatible people is because Romanticism led them there with eyes wide shut and heart far too open.

It sounds cold and it doesn't sound so much fun, but a relationship based on hard-headed realism is the only one that's likely to last.

And there's PLENTY of fun to be had within that.

I don't like it either.

I'd rather it weren't the case.

I think we all want our Kodak moment. I think we'd all love a Hollywood ending where you are actually happy ever after. I think we'd all like to be Jennifer Lopez in Maid in Manhattan or Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. I think we all secretly want that sort of thing to happen to us and for it to be real and for it to stay like that.

It doesn't though.

It's such a shit message that it's no wonder people don't want to hear it and would rather immerse themselves in the Hollywood fantasy, and imagine that there are cameras following them around day after day, chronicling their indomitable struggle against the forces of shit until one day their Prince Charming arrives.

I can't blame them really.

I just can't live there.

And I can't feel incredible sympathy when these people complain it's all turned to ashes, because it was ashes in the first place and they just refused to see it.

Funny you mention Pretty Woman and Maid in Manhattan. Two romcoms with the same theme: Working class women being rescued from poverty by rich men. Cinderella Syndrome at its finest.

I remember reading an article in Marie Claire last year about a woman who obtained financial security and threw it all away because she was uncomfortable being independently wealthy. She admitted that she still hoped for a man who would take care of her and the feminist in me wanted to scream at her(but didn't cause I was in a salon waiting to get some cornrows.) Too many women think like this. No wonder there are so many desperate housewives out there.

The idea of the perfect relationship was created by men. Gasp shock horror.

Why was it created? To court women.

From that we get the stories that were the base for other stories and then movies. So many girls have the idea that their knight is going to come and save them. Or that some man is going to pop into their lives and make them complete.

You have to completely yourself. You have to save yourself.

The you can open the door to another person. You have to be real. You need to expect fights and for things to not be perfect. A relationship is work, hard work. They aren't easy to keep together sometimes.

I gave up on love after the second abusive boyfriend.

You have to completely yourself. You have to save yourself.

The you can open the door to another person. You have to be real. You need to expect fights and for things to not be perfect. A relationship is work, hard work. They aren't easy to keep together sometimes.

I gave up on love after the second abusive boyfriend.

Seems like a really high price to pay though, on behalf of a guy like that. You, Sof- giving up on love because of him? That doesn't sound like the woman I know.

The woman I know, defies the boundaries of normal human strength and convential wisdom. :)

The woman I know, defies the boundaries of normal human strength and convential wisdom. :)

Lets just say those two guys had lasting imprints on who I am right now. If it wasn't for either of them I wouldn't be who you know. Every single negative expierence in my life has made me who I am. To be honest at this point there is a lot of negatives. I don't blame them, but I cannot turn of my head and block out what happened. It's only natural that the men in my life define how I feel about men in general. Those two relationships coupled with the men I know now. Doesn't exactly give me hope in something that's ever going to be lasting.

Those men killed my sense of lasting love. Big Love. They forced me to look at myself and how I thought. I didn't want to be that weak women that men exploited the rest of my life. They helped me start to discover who I really am and my voice. It was a push to start becoming who I want to be. It ended up being an amazingly positive thing.

I'm still me though. I'm still attracted to volatile men, but I know not to take their shit. I just don't have much faith in Big Love. I'm sure if it is supposed to happen it will. I'm not going to go out looking, and if a man wants me he needs to meet all requirements and work for it. I don't think a man will easily throw away something he's had to work hard to get.

I don't think it's a high price or even a fully negative part of my life. In a lot of ways it helped me.

Jesus Christ I JUST went through this a couple of months ago. THIS is what a stalker is really like.

This guy was a former web designer, who claims that I owe him money for a job that I backed out of. NOT TRUE.

This has been happening for over a year and a half, and he is determined to fuck up my life like this, everytime he hacks into the new codes I set up.

DAMMIT, DAMMIT, DAMMIT!

I have the pictures on disk, of course, but I will have to get the others from Seth again...those are his, not mine. :banghead:

He may be a web designer but that shouldn't give him special powers to hack into people's accounts and change things - all this is surely password protected.

Myspace's security measures must be dreadful if they can be hacked into time and time again.

:banghead:

EDIT: Worse yet- I can't get into it. My name is still there, but I cannot get into the page to fix it. Geez, I just hate this STUPID BITCH! :fiery:

Contacting Myspace.......again...........

Sorry! What a jerk!!!

Kelli I cannot believe that guy. It amazes me that it doesn't even register in his head how completely moronic and pathetic he's being.

:) My mom started having high blood presure troubles a few years back (even though she's very fit for her age, works out a lot, etc.). She never ate a lot of red meat, but her BP issues ended completely when she cut out red meat altogether. Amazingly, her intake of salt and caffeine (two things which raise BP) have remained about the same, though she has taken to drinking distilled water to lower her sodium intake slightly.

I remember sitting in my dad's office as a bored kid (he was a self-employed doc so I spent a lot of time at his office hanging out, waiting for my mom to get off work and pick me up) and reading through the papers/books he left on his desk, several of which discussed how red meat increased your risk of high blood pressure and colon cancer. These weren't some hippie publications, these were medical articles and books by doctors, and this was back in the 1980s. This info's been out there for a long time; people just aren't listening.
See I knew it was a bad thing. That's really good though high blood pressure runs in my family. Bad genes. So knowing that not eating red meat could help is a good thing. I still have my fish and chicken every now and then though. Chicken like two times a year.

I've done that too, especially when I get invited to meat-grilling sessions. :) Some people, especially those who don't know me well, probably consider it rude, but hey, I do it discreetly, and I'm usually one of the few people at the end of the meal who's not complaining about feeling tired, bloated, or being annoyed that I ate too much. To me it's about watching my health, and considering how certain meats and nearly anything dairy makes me physically sick I don't consider it rude at all.

Plus I'd rather sit and eat what I brought with my friends than do what some of my other friends do, which is sit around and look forlorn/bored/hungry because there's nothing at the party for them to eat.

Exactly! Cook outs can be the worst. I don't eat mayo or sweets that I didn't make myself or can read the nutritional info on. So I'm always really limited. Normally I just get a cooler or little lunch box to bring something for myself.

You are completely right too, I'm not feeling bloated or dead tired at the end of eating. I'm read to have more fun while everyone else is being sluggish.

I can't really ask him to change his personality, he's a Grade A dork and he probably always will be. Like, sitcom-worthy dork. And I tell him to be appropriate all the time, but he has no concept. Lanes were closed. So I don't think so. It was either a structure issue or it was deliberate.

I don't think it's the right kind of area in the US for looting.

They are saying that the surface was under repair, but that's the surface not the structure. Lanes were closed too it could have been worse.

Monica your issues are important. If you want to still talk to them you and PM me or get on a messenger.

This is for you to Mon though I'm sure anyone else that wants some tennis smut can read it as well. Smut here (http://users.livejournal.com/_love_never/100029.html#cutid1)

Oh Lord - a bridge has collapsed in Mississippi in the middle of the rush hour.

That doesn't look good - the whole thing has gone down into the water.

 I hadn't seen that before I read your message. Terrible tragedy! There are at least 3 people dead.

Yeah Minnesota, not Mississippi.

The river is Mississippi.

Now the confirmed dead is 6.

Because they are the only ones in your life who don't want to separate you from your undies or your $$$$. They have no reason to scam or bullshit you. The motivation to get over on you is absent.

I love you for real too, ya know. I know I'm just a chick, and all, but that has to count for something. ;)

I've decided to give myself a pedicure. I'm sure the girls around here will understand: it's not even my wedding, yet I'm beginning preparations three days in advance . Today tanning happened, pedicure will happen, experiment with hair will happen, and possibly some hair removal. :o

Guru kel, i love you WOman.

---update----
i have not forgiven the male who is responsible for my morning drama, but i definitely put an end to a relationship that didn't involve me today...oooops!:rolls:
& having a guy in your pocket trying to make it up to you is always nice, even though he is now & forever demoted to another category, if i had "big love" for him it would surely be over but since he is just a friend that i fuck....

Whatever you did to help yourself feel better, that is all that's important. You are too beautiful, too kind, too smart, and way too special to put up with ANYONE who doesn't reflect that back to you. If they don't know enough to treat you like platinum without being told, they are not fit to carry your Fendi bag. :)
