Looking forward to seeing him at Hopman Cup and Auckland. Carol96 12-06-2010, 05:10 PM Thanks Happiness (Fati?) for keeping us up to date with this - and the Catalan lesson too ;) I am so pleased for Tommy, as to be honest, 2010 was a horrid season for him. I really hope this gives him confidence for the upcoming 2011 season and proves that he's over his back trouble. VAMOS Tommy!!! He is a very much under-rated player (like Ferru and JCF) who is playing at the same time as Rafa and Roger - not easy... Hmmm - he's finally!!! written on his website about training in the Reunion Islands (OK I had to Google where they were) - nice place! I really like it that he writes in Spanish, Catalan and English, sweetie! Happiness 12-06-2010, 07:11 PM Nice way for Tommy to end his "off" year. You can call me Fáti, like all my friends Carol ;) Catalan is getting easier on me now, even if I can't speak, because it sounds totally different than what's written  Like Tommy said, when he was the first time in Open du BOTC (2003) his next Season was very good (2004), he's hopeful that may happen next year as well :D Tommy knows that his fans like him and he always makes an effort to give them what they want :) ariel2 12-07-2010, 03:02 AM Why no Hopman Cup for Spain? Happiness 12-07-2010, 08:57 AM Why no Hopman Cup for Spain? As far as I know Spain wasn't invited this year ... First is always nice to see you girls around  I agree with you both. I have no idea why they didn't at least gave a chance to Spain, since they're the defending champions  I'm sure Tommy will be even more motivated after this title :) Hope he can rest now for some days and keep practising hard in Mauritian Islands for next week Bilbao's Master :D Happiness 12-18-2010, 07:54 PM There are far too many updates to post (and no time lately to do it). Tomorrow hopefully I'll do them. So be patient and bear with me until then ladies :wavey: In the mean time the good news are that Tommy's on another final (even if that means David Ferrer had withdraw with an arm injury today in Bilbao :()!!! I hope David's shoulder isn't serious (he's been very lucky with few injuries this year though) Eruwen 12-20-2010, 07:11 PM He won it! There's another new blog post on his website anouncing the win... and he left his coach! Great news that he won Bilbao and that he's splitting from that fatso of a coach. He's cleaning house and things can only get better from here. :) VAMOS TOMMY IN 2011. ds_hockeygrl1536 01-08-2011, 02:13 AM Tommy gets a WC in Auckland, Michael Venus. He looked much better, but Venus also crumbled, in the second and third sets. He was very good on serve. A win is a win. 6-7 6-3 6-0. Eruwen 01-10-2011, 08:23 AM This is good news to wake up to! :D Tommy and Marcel are playing doubles right now, seems to be a pretty even match... Vamos chicos! :bounce: Eruwen 01-10-2011, 08:32 AM I even found a live stream for the doubles :woohoo: Eruwen 01-10-2011, 09:36 AM They won 7-6 5-7 10-6  Sommarsverige 01-10-2011, 08:13 PM Sooooooooooooooooooooo cool :bounce: :bounce: Tommy started the new year with 2 wins, how great :yippee: Happiness 01-11-2011, 04:55 PM Thanks for all the updates and results girls!!! :) ds_hockeygrl1536 01-11-2011, 09:57 PM There is no live stream, but from the live scoreboard it looked like it was a bad first set at 6-4 Bellucci. Tommy's serve seems to be off compared to his first round match when he was popping off aces like crazy. I have to go to class so I won't know the outcome of the match until tonight. I hope he turns it around! ds_hockeygrl1536 01-12-2011, 02:34 AM :( He lost. 6-4 3-6 6-1. Eruwen 01-12-2011, 07:46 AM Oh poo :awww: Eruwen 01-12-2011, 07:52 AM Luckily it's not all bad news... Eruwen 01-19-2011, 09:49 AM Well done Tommy! Stakhovsky next... that's going to be a tough one! Sommarsverige 01-19-2011, 10:17 AM Big congrats Tommy :bounce: :bounce: To be honest I didn´t expect him to win this match, so really great news :yeah: Good luck for the next match, Tommy :worship: Eruwen 01-19-2011, 03:24 PM Good luck for the next match, Tommy :worship: Maybe we can send over Beesie to distract Stakhovsky ;) Sommarsverige 01-19-2011, 06:32 PM Maybe we can send over Beesie to distract Stakhovsky ;) Hihi, I have also thought about something like that before ;) Yvo needs to send Beesie to Melbourne ;) ds_hockeygrl1536 01-21-2011, 03:13 AM Lost the first set to Stakhovsky 7-5. Then he came back and won the 2nd set 6-2 and the 3rd set 6-4. One more to go for 4th round. ariel2 01-21-2011, 05:15 AM Damn ESPN. It's 1am and they're showing Fed demolishing Malisse like there's nothing more competitive going on. If fed finishes they'll switch back to Sharapova and overlook Tommy altogether. :( Glad to see Tommy's within a set of getting to R4. He needs the rankings boost desperately. Watching the live score board instead. Vat a vay to vatch a match. ds_hockeygrl1536 01-21-2011, 05:34 AM He won! He took the 4th set 6-2. He plays Federer next! ariel2 01-21-2011, 05:43 AM Robredo pummels Stakhovsky in the final set so it was 5/7 6/2 6/4 6/2. That least set went very fast. Well, Robredo's the veteran and when his heart is in it, he's going to outlast most of the players out there. Damn. Next up Fed - well, that's what happens when you're ranked 52. I hope he can go for broke out there and give Fed some cause for anxiety, however brief. chewbacca74 01-21-2011, 08:32 AM Tommy progresses in the ATP rankings thanks to his last victories... He is currently #39 (+13) before R16... See: http://tennislive.free.fr Uge 01-21-2011, 10:03 AM Great Tomy!!! Good luck against Federer... He took the 4th set 6-2. He plays Federer next! Well done Tommy, but what a bummer of a reward...:( (Suppose that's tennis and the ranking system...) Just hope he thinks "sod it" and chucks everything at Fed... Go for it Tommy-boy: nothing to lose ;) ariel2 01-23-2011, 02:29 AM Tommy progresses in the ATP rankings thanks to his last victories... He is currently #39 (+13) before R16... See: http://tennislive.free.fr Thanks for that info. He's done well enough here. Yes, let him throw everything at Federer but if he doesn't make it this is a great consolation prize. And great news about the doubles win. ds_hockeygrl1536 01-23-2011, 05:20 AM Well, he took a set off Fed and he made him work a bit. 6-3 3-6 6-3 6-2 He still has doubles tomorrow. Overall I’m elated he made it this far and I hope this is a sign of his return. Eruwen 01-23-2011, 06:10 AM Overall I’m elated he made it this far and I hope this is a sign of his return. Sommarsverige 01-23-2011, 12:44 PM I also agree to what you said ;) Tommy really played a good match despite the loss and I am sure he is on the way up again :) Good luck in the doubles Tommy y Marcel :yeah: One question: Does anyone know the name of Tommys new coach? He was sitting next to Marcel during Tommys match, but I had never seen him before... Eruwen 01-23-2011, 02:23 PM One question: Does anyone know the name of Tommys new coach? He was sitting next to Marcel during Tommys match, but I had never seen him before... I was wondering the same thing... Also saw him on the photos of Tommy and Marcel's win in Auckland on Tommy's site, and again in Tommy's box during today's match... So I'm guessing he's indeed the new coach! Maybe Tommy'll tell us soon on his blog :) VamosEspaña 01-23-2011, 07:06 PM A little sad that Tommy lost to Federer once more  though Federer had had to work hard to beat Tommy... but of course this Aussie Open was good for him, as a non-seeded player in the fourth round. Hopefully he'll win one or two titles in the South America again ;) By the way the name of Tommy's new coach is Karim Perona: http://www.atpworldtour.com/Tennis/Players/Top-Players/Tommy-Robredo.aspx About him he's already told us in his blog: http://www.tommy-robredo.com/wordpress/?p=86 He was in Bilbao too: http://www.eitb.com/multimedia/videos/2010/12/19/396064/KIR_MASTERS_IRABAZLEA_20101219_141404.mp4 Please change the title of this thread! Nice run, though! Sommarsverige 01-24-2011, 07:36 PM So sad they lost  iramlatif 01-27-2011, 10:36 PM For what it's worth, Tommy had a great run in this years Aussie Open. Hopefully it's a sign of good things to come for him. Here is a fun, non-tennis related interview with him. 10 burning questions with Tommy Robredo Sunday, 23 January, 2011 By Matt Trollope Favourite holiday spot? My hometown Olot, in the north east (of Spain) in Catalonia. Finish this sentence: "If I wasn't a tennis player, I'd be ..." Most likely a normal student. I don't know (what I'd study) but most other people study so (if I) wouldn't be a tennis player, (I would) have chances to be a student. Best moment on court? Obviously when you finish a match and win, I think that's the best moment ... for me it was very special when I played in Paris Bercy (in 2006) the year that I was playing for (a place in) the Masters Cup in Shanghai, and I beat (Sebastien) Grosjean (in the second round) when I was a set and 5-2 down. If I was to lose this match I wouldn't be going to Shanghai ... that was a very special one. Did you make a New Year's resolution? No. What are you listening to on your iPod? I don't listen to music very often. I listen when I'm going in my car, or when I'm bored in the room I just put on my iTunes and just put random music ... The good songs that are there on the radio at the moment, things like that. If you could pick any player from history to be your doubles partner, who would you choose? Stefan Edberg - I liked a lot when he was playing, the way he was playing, I think he was a really kind guy, he was doing a lot for the sport ... I would like to play with him Forehand or backhand? Forehand. Sweet or savoury? Sweet - chocolate, ice cream. Beatles or Rolling Stones? Can it be another one? (He gets the go-ahead) ... Something modern. Which actor would you get to play you in a movie about your life? I don't know - someone who costs me no money and he can do it good. Because if I get Russell Crowe or someone like this it's gonna cost too much money for me to do the movie! Sonja1989 01-28-2011, 08:19 AM Thanks for the article! :D ariel2 01-28-2011, 06:00 PM Yes, thanks Iram. ds_hockeygrl1536 01-29-2011, 03:04 AM It appears Tommy will play in Chile next week at the Movistar Open. Eruwen 01-29-2011, 07:25 AM Yes, he's doing the "South American round" again :) First Santiago, then Costa do Sauipe, then Buenos Aires. Let's hope it will be as successful as in 2009! :bounce: Sommarsverige 01-30-2011, 01:54 PM Yes, I also think it´s a good decision of him to play the South America tournaments :) Vamos Tommy :yeah: Sonja1989 01-30-2011, 02:12 PM If he plays well in Santiago, he can win this tournament. :) Happiness 01-30-2011, 08:34 PM MOVISTAR OPEN 2011 MAIN DRAW SINGLES: http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/4345/maindrawsingles.th.jpg (http://img521.imageshack.us/i/maindrawsingles.jpg/) Happiness 01-30-2011, 08:38 PM MOVISTAR OPEN 2011 ORDER OF PLAY MONDAY, 31 JANUARY 2011: http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/3556/orderofplaymonday31janu.th.jpg (http://img407.imageshack.us/i/orderofplaymonday31janu.jpg/) Happiness 01-30-2011, 08:39 PM I simply won't comment about Tommy's Round 1!!! :tape: Why does Fred always has to play Tommy??? What a terrible Birthday gift!!! ds_hockeygrl1536 01-31-2011, 09:05 PM Tommy won 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 :) Sommarsverige 01-31-2011, 09:14 PM Big congrats, Tommy :yeah: :yeah: :bounce: Good luck for the next round :) Sonja1989 02-01-2011, 04:41 AM Good job Tommy! :bounce: Happiness 02-01-2011, 11:19 PM MOVISTAR OPEN 2011 ORDER OF PLAY WEDNESDAY, 02 FEBRUARY 2011: http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/2391/movistaropenorderofplay.th.jpg (http://img17.imageshack.us/i/movistaropenorderofplay.jpg/) ariel2 02-02-2011, 04:42 PM Nice to see that Tommy is the featured night match...and probably not just because he's seeded. I imagine he's very popular down in Chile. He has chances to win the whole tournament although he'll come up against Nalby in the finals hopefully. That would be a great match. ds_hockeygrl1536 02-03-2011, 12:34 AM He won 6-0 7-6! Sonja1989 02-03-2011, 10:16 AM :bounce: Sommarsverige 02-04-2011, 08:42 PM Waiting for Tommys match against Machi Gonzalez.... vamosssssssss Tommy :bounce: :bounce: Eruwen 02-05-2011, 07:41 AM Semifinal!! :woohoo: ds_hockeygrl1536 02-05-2011, 02:50 PM Wow-- that couldn't have been an easier victory! 6-3 6-1 in under an hour and eight minutes. ariel2 02-05-2011, 04:41 PM Yesssssssssss. He should be able to beat Fognini for the final berth. Tommy didn't play this tourney last year so does this mean if he wins he gets the full 250 points added to his ranking? Or does something else come off? Eruwen 02-05-2011, 05:18 PM Yesssssssssss. He should be able to beat Fognini for the final berth. Tommy didn't play this tourney last year so does this mean if he wins he gets the full 250 points added to his ranking? Or does something else come off? I'm not sure... I always find the rankings a bit confusing :o I think he loses last year's points for this week, and gains this year's points, regardless of which tournaments he played/plays? I'll be watching live stream tonight! The other semifinal can also be quite interesting... Watching tennis and eating a nice dinner, great way to spend a Saturday evening :D Sonja1989 02-05-2011, 09:11 PM Vamossss!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Eruwen 02-05-2011, 09:57 PM What was that all about?? ds_hockeygrl1536 02-05-2011, 09:58 PM Ok, what happened between Fognini and Tommy? I knew there were instances during the match where they were yelling at each other and giving each other dirty looks, but Tommy refused to shake his hand after he won, and the crowd was booing him so loudly he refused to give the post-win interview. What caused all that? I was doing homework while watching, so I obviously missed something. Eruwen 02-05-2011, 10:05 PM You and me both then... I only saw what you saw too, some argument or something during a game. He was obviously very angry about something! ds_hockeygrl1536 02-05-2011, 10:07 PM If the crowd still feels the same way tomorrow as they did at the end of the match, it'll be an interesting final! I'm sure the locker room is a peaceful place to be right now lol Eruwen 02-05-2011, 10:11 PM There will probably be a security guy or two in there  Apparently they're playing each other again in the first round next week... that's going to be interesting :tape: ds_hockeygrl1536 02-05-2011, 10:17 PM They did draw each other, it's on the Brasil Open website. Yikes! That will be a tense match. I hope there is a live stream! :) The Tommy haters on MTF are coming out in full force now after this afternoon's incident. Happiness 02-05-2011, 11:15 PM Fognini's behaviour was unacceptable!!! How can he say out loud on a court what he did to Tommy!!! :tape: I'm glad I'm not in Santiago or that Italian would learn to behave!!! :fiery: ds_hockeygrl1536 02-05-2011, 11:37 PM Fognini's behaviour was unacceptable!!! How can he say out loud on a court what he did to Tommy!!! :tape: I'm glad I'm not in Santiago or that Italian would learn to behave!!! :fiery: :boxing: lol His behavior really was horrible. If Tommy didn't want to shake his hand, he had a good reason not to since that is not in his character to be rude for no reason. Secondly, if he didn't want to shake his hand, so what? Fognini was the instigator and kept following him around goading him on with his hand stuck out, then he started cursing at him. Fognini could have just shrugged Tommy's refusal to shake his hand and left, but he was mad about the loss and the arguments they had on court. I hope this fires Tommy up for tomorrow. Now Tommy looks like a culo. Oh well. Kournikovaism 02-06-2011, 01:42 AM Mad I missed this drama. Glad Tommy's through :) :) Euggh I hate GM, mainly because its full of dumbass haters of my faves. :o ariel2 02-06-2011, 05:23 AM All that matters is he won. But I would think that episode between the two would somehow get onto You Tube. That had to be memorable. Hope he'll put it aside for tomorrow's match. He's tough. I think he will. Eruwen 02-06-2011, 07:49 AM If Tommy didn't want to shake his hand, he had a good reason not to since that is not in his character to be rude for no reason. Agreed... I also find it hard to believe that Tommy would refuse to shake hands for no apparent reason. He also looked quite hurt when he was waiting for the interview and the crowd kept booing him :awww: So... what exactly did Fognini do then? I had a very crappy live stream that kept freezing, plus the sound was horrible... not that I would've been able to understand what they were saying  Eruwen 02-06-2011, 07:59 AM Wow, I just read the thread in general message... I honestly don't understand how people can be so harsh about someone they don't even know! I really hope Tommy can use all this to his advantage today... would hate for him to lose a title over this. Then again... seeing how agressive he started played once the quarrel with Fognini started, that shouldn't be a problem  xohxmyx 02-06-2011, 09:10 AM omg what happened?! i knew i should have woke up early to see his match...i just love sleep to much. i really dont understand why so many people hate Tommy! I really cant think of a reason some people are so agressive over how much they hate him? he has done nothing wrong, its not like he is the type of player who is up in the other opponents face in a match if his winning or trying to course sh*t with the opponent to get a rise out of them. He does not go out of his way to annoy peple like others do, he seems to me like one of the most normal of the players....i mean he does get a touch stroppy sometimes on court when he disagrees with a call but so does everyone and tommy makes it entertaing :P I've had people react so strangly to me when i tell them i like Robredo ...then of course i have to sit there why they call him "Boredo" and listen while they tell me how "gay" he is and how he is a "talentless mug/pusher/journey man" it confuses me why all the hate =S BUT never the less i love him and all your guys on here do! so to me everyone else is crazy haha i am thrilled he made it to the final and i will definetly be up in time to watch his match! im looking forward to it! it would be so perfect if he could win to show everyone! to quote kuznetsova "F**k all haters" Tommy and win this thing!!! :) Eruwen 02-06-2011, 10:49 AM I honestly don't understand where all the hate is coming from either... I mean, if you don't like a player, fine - just ignore him! Why go out of your way to convince the world that he is the most evil person ever? And then, when players and tournament directors and what not actually say that he is NOT evil but very nice, friendly, hard-working, compassionate etc - people who actually know him - then of course those people are crazy. They're probably just jealous or lead very sad lives to be spending so much time and energy on someone they hate :p I do hope he wins this title now! I always hope that of course, but now just a little more to make a point  Happiness 02-06-2011, 12:15 PM I agree with all that you ladies said here. The haters do live very sad lives indeed! Fognini's behaviour really disgusted me!!! How can this kind of situation happen in tennis, during and entire match, and no one does anything about it??? I'm sure that everyone in the court understood what he kept telling Tommy, since he spoke in Spanish!!! :cuckoo: Answering you question Gaby, Fognini kept saying bad words and trying to make Tommy loose his temper throughout the entire match!!! Thank God Tommy kept his head and won!!! In the end when Tommy refused to shake his hand he simply kept yelling him "Pedazo de Mierda", which translated means "Piece of shit"!!! No wonder Tommy didn't do the post-match interview, when all the crowd was against him, and I'm sure they understand quite well Spanish to know what the Italian had told him!!! :fiery: Eruwen 02-06-2011, 01:04 PM Ok... that is indeed very strange that it went on the entire match... Kudos to Tommy for only reacting to it once during the match! To be honest, I think Tommy should have kept the honor to himself and shaken hands at the end. But when Fabio kept coming after him with his hand stretched out... that was a bit too much! Poor Tommy  Happiness 02-06-2011, 01:22 PM Ok... that is indeed very strange that it went on the entire match... Kudos to Tommy for only reacting to it once during the match! To be honest, I think Tommy should have kept the honor to himself and shaken hands at the end. But when Fabio kept coming after him with his hand stretched out... that was a bit too much! Poor Tommy  I don't understand why they let Fognini got away with it, but maybe they didn't wanted to cause a riot there!? Maybe Tommy should have shaken his hand, but I mostly understand him. The Spanish (and also us the Portuguese) are latins, which means that we loose temper easily! And we really don't tolerate things like that!!! I guess that Tommy simply showed he's human and didn't want anymore of it! ;) Indeed poor Tommy, having to listen to it and entire match, and then see all the crowd against him!!! xohxmyx 02-06-2011, 01:25 PM No i disagree (maybe im bias lol) but i think Tommy did the right thing by not shaking hands at the net. Its weird but in tennis to me, thats like the definitive way of showing your opponent that you have no respect for him/her, and why should Tommy show any respect to Fabio? He acted completly inappropriatly and insulted Tommy...it would have been completly hollow and pointless for them to shake hands. It is like when Feli Lopez refused to shake Paes' hand after his doubles match...he had a problem with Paes so why go out of his way to be "nice" (for want of a better word) to someone you dont not respect? But then that is just my opinion on the whole thing.. Happiness 02-06-2011, 01:48 PM No i disagree (maybe im bias lol) but i think Tommy did the right thing by not shaking hands at the net. If Fabio really said that to Tommy of course this was bad :( But I don´t want to comment on it, because I think we all don´t know completely what happened... I really wish these 2 wouldn´t have had this argument :( I also like and respect Fabio a lot, not only because one of my my best friends is a big fan of him ;) Vamos Tommy tonight!!! :yeah: :yeah: ariel2 02-06-2011, 05:13 PM I don't understand why they let Fognini got away with it, but maybe they didn't wanted to cause a riot there!? Maybe Tommy should have shaken his hand, but I mostly understand him. He acted like an animal. But Tommy has a temper and his pride and I think he followed his instinct at the moment by not shaking hands which is what I would have done if I'd been abused an entire match. (if that's really what happened) The real unprofessionalism comes from the tournament referee for not interceding on Tommy's behalf during the match. That is simply unforgiveable. In not doing his job he made Tommy look like the bad one out there for not acknowledging Fognini at the end. And Fognini made it worse for Tommy by pursuing him. Not a good day for Tommy or tennis. My sense of Tommy is that he has a bit of a stubborn streak about him and will use this to will himself to victory today. He's a pretty tough customer when all is said and done. :) ariel2 02-06-2011, 05:24 PM i really dont understand why so many people hate Tommy! They don't like Tommy because he's good looking and he models. And they're not a fan of his game. But there are also decent posters who like Tommy but know not to get involved with haters. You'll never get rid of the haters so why not just ignore them. Anway, it's not like Tommy sees what they write. :p Did Sveta actually tweet that about Tommy or is that a user name for someone on MTF? He's used to hostile environment, so I don't think that the audience against him will change much. I hope he keeps playing good tennis and wins the first tournament of the year!!! :) Eruwen 02-06-2011, 07:13 PM Ok, let's forget about yesterday... and focus on the final! Congratulations to him! :D :D and to Santi for making it to his 1st final....i probably would have cheered for him if he wasnt up against a certain T. Robredo  -------------------------------------------------- Did Sveta actually tweet that about Tommy or is that a user name for someone on MTF? She actually did tweet that. Not about tommy though lol, she just lost a match that i think alot of people expected her to win and they must have been saying bad things so she tweeted that and said theres only one person who can judge her so they should shut there mouths! :fierce: very fiesty of her! lol ----------------- Oh and also by the way my name is Amy...just in case you get sick of typing my screen name :p xohxmyx 02-06-2011, 10:03 PM Im using Tommy winning to justify haveing chocolate for breakfast :) Being the chocolate lover that he is....I feel he would approve of this ;) Sonja1989 02-06-2011, 10:04 PM I want to champagne! :) ds_hockeygrl1536 02-06-2011, 10:20 PM It feels so good to have positive comments back in Tommy's forum! Really proud of you!!! ariel2 02-06-2011, 11:45 PM It feels so good to have positive comments back in Tommy's forum! ) It's called differing opinions among Tommy's fans. :p As far as General MTF board , gosh darned, it's the truth. ariel2 02-06-2011, 11:52 PM Im using Tommy winning to justify haveing chocolate for breakfast :) Being the chocolate lover that he is....I feel he would approve of this ;) Good excuse for having a chocolate breakfast, Amy. I hope it wasn't Nutella because you'll be having chocolate breakfasts followed by chocolate lunches and dinners. :D ariel2 02-06-2011, 11:58 PM Very pleased to see that Tommy won #10. This should fire him up for Costa da Suipe (sp?) and I hope he can do another back to back set of wins. He certainly is glowing with pleasure in the picture I saw of him on the ATP site. Yes, I am a die-hard David Ferrer fan, but Tommy is his pal and I am so glad for Tommy as he had a horrible 2010 (like D's 2009) and just hope he goes further throughout the year - AND is chosen for Davis Cup!!! :yeah: He has done a lot of hard work and needs his successes! Enhorabuena Tommy! :clap2: Happiness 02-09-2011, 02:34 AM Tommy finally won the match: 6-3; 6-7 (4-7); 6-3!!! Now I can have some rest!!! Better for Fog to take it out on the referee.:D No worries honey, cause I'll post some photos so you can see it ;) They both berated at themselves, like it's usual, so no problems :) http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/5433/0208mmrobredom.th.jpg (http://img546.imageshack.us/i/0208mmrobredom.jpg/) http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/7528/0208mmrobredo2m.th.jpg (http://img832.imageshack.us/i/0208mmrobredo2m.jpg/) ariel2 02-09-2011, 10:29 PM No worries honey, cause I'll post some photos so you can see it ;) They both berated at themselves, like it's usual, so no problems :) http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/5433/0208mmrobredom.th.jpg (http://img546.imageshack.us/i/0208mmrobredom.jpg/) http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/7528/0208mmrobredo2m.th.jpg (http://img832.imageshack.us/i/0208mmrobredo2m.jpg/) More pleeeeze? Just kidding. Only if you want to. They're not that short. I was thinking vintage Bjorn Borg, Vilas and that era - where they were high up on the thigh. Oh would Tommy look spectacular in those. However, he looks great in these. Nice and tight and butt-hugging. He has beautiful legs. Ok, I need him to win his next match so I have something else I can celebrate. :) ds_hockeygrl1536 02-09-2011, 11:30 PM Um, he just lost to Pablo Andujar, 6-4 5-7 6-2. I'm a bit dismayed and perplexed. Oh, well. Rest up for Buenos Aires. xohxmyx 02-10-2011, 06:44 AM More pleeeeze? Just kidding. Only if you want to. They're not that short. If not...you missed out! They were short and kept getting shorter  he had to keep stopping and pull them down between points...i think they were annoying him..I however(an im sure im not alone) enjoyed it quite alot! ;) haha But uh on a serious non-shorts related note...shame he lost, i was quite enjoying that winning thing he had going on lol....but oh well on to buenos aires then :) Eruwen 02-10-2011, 05:07 PM Mmm... bit of a surprising result there. Too bad for Tommy, but I'm happy for Pablo, really like him too! ariel2 02-10-2011, 09:30 PM Did you not watch the match against fabio in brazil? If not...you missed out! I surely did miss out - can't imagine him having to pull them down between points - must have been pissing him off. :D I am not surprised Tommy lost to Pablo Andujar - Pablo is a good player with an aggressive net-charging game which gives Tommy problems. And Tommy was coming in off the win in Chile and had no time to prepare- didn't have a bye. But then Andujar goes and loses 1-6 0-6 to Ricardo Mello. What a waste of an opportunity. Happiness 02-10-2011, 09:39 PM Tommy made a huge effort last week to win Santiago and it payed off, but it had a reverse side, less time to rest. He was really tired on the match against Fognini, he had a leg bandage and he had a medical time as well. Plus, he played till nearly 1 a.m. (local time), and afterwards as usual he had the post-match routine. Less then 24h after, 6h30 p.m. (local time), he was playing again. I'm amazed he took it to 3 sets, considering he lost the first one. It's sad to see him loose, but at the same time he can now rest a little more and prepare himself better for Buenos Aires :) Happiness 02-12-2011, 06:04 PM COPA CLARO 2011 MAIN DRAW SINGLES: http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/4345/maindrawsingles.th.jpg (http://img41.imageshack.us/i/maindrawsingles.jpg/) Happiness 02-12-2011, 06:40 PM ATP HEAD 2 HEAD: http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/7813/maximogonzalezvstommyro.th.jpg (http://img197.imageshack.us/i/maximogonzalezvstommyro.jpg/) ariel2 02-13-2011, 02:22 AM Here we go. Hopefully Tommy is now rested and ready to go deep in this tournament. He's got Nalbandian lurking around for later on and Almagro (who should be tired from his win in Brazil) so if he brings his best stuff to BA it could be a good run. Nice to see him at 31 and hoping he'll pass a few more guys with his results here. Better to be properly better and kick serious backside come Monte Carlo than run the risk of exacerbating it, right? This will NOT be a repeat of last year. *sings 'Always Look On the Bright Side of Life' as hard as possibly can* | |
