This is your area, Don. Home event. Better do what you need to. You're the veteran here, show the kids how it's done.

Nice,Michael deserves this and hope he can do some damage

12-09-2010, 03:44 AM
Good Luck to Tim & Ryan

Ryan Good luck

The two players that I would have given the highest odds of winning, Harrison and Shabaz, are of course slated to meet in the first round (they have gone by pure seeding for the first round in the past, with #1 vs #8, etc.).

12-13-2010, 06:25 PM
It is easy for Harrison to get the WC.

12-16-2010, 11:02 PM
Men's Draw:

(1) Donald Young v. Jack Sock
(4) Jordan Cox v. Denis Kudla
Michael Shabaz v. (3) Ryan Harrison
Rhyne Williams v. (2) Timothy Smyczek

12-17-2010, 02:45 AM
Young should easily get to the final match. It will probably be Young vs Harrison or Smyczek.

12-17-2010, 09:45 PM
Sock and Kudla won today, not sure about the other two results.

12-17-2010, 10:08 PM
Young should easily get to the final match. It will probably be Young vs Harrison or Smyczek.

Young should easily get home ;)

No, I knew Sock would beat Don. Big serve, big hitter, net, bad match-up for Don. I'm extremely disappointed, but whatever.

I expected one of Kudla, and the Shabaz/Harrison winner to take this, and that's what I still expect.

I feel nervous for Ryan, this Rhyne Williams seems red hot :help: Please, Ryan, win it!

12-18-2010, 09:02 PM
Jack Sock vs Denis Kudla 6-2 7-5 :worship:

12-18-2010, 09:21 PM
Harrison took third set 9-7 and will play Jack in final

12-18-2010, 09:24 PM
Williams couldn't served it out at 7-6, then Ryan won three games in a row to win it all.

12-18-2010, 09:26 PM
And the final is Jack vs. Ryan.
Ryan beat Rhyne 4-6 6-2 9-7. Crazy match, Ryan was up a break in at 3-1 in the third but lost it and Rhyne served for the match at 7-6, but couldn't win another game and unfortunately DFed on MP.
Some really good tennis and a great battle. It's really too bad for Rhyne, but it was a great effort from him.
Congrats to Ryan on displaying his usual heart.
Should be a great final.
Remember it's best of 5, btw.

Ryan's experience should get him through, but it will be tough since he's played two tough matches. Good tournament so far for Jack, he's definitely in with a shot if he serves well and executes his game and takes it to Ryan. GL to both.

12-18-2010, 10:14 PM
Jack rolled his ankle today, but was able to bounce back from it in the end. Hopefully it will be fine by tomorrow, because if it isn't it will be hard to compete in a best 3 out of 5.

Usually ankle sprains get worse after sleeping, as the soreness/swelling/cold/tightness comes into play. That could end up being a major issue for Jack in the final. Ryan would be wise to use his forehand angle and BTL shots a lot and force Jack to move.

12-19-2010, 07:58 PM
Harrison takes the first set, 7-6(3).

12-19-2010, 08:06 PM
Harrison breaks in the second set, 7-6 *2-0

I'm so proud of you, Ryan. So much improvement mentally, physically and game-wise over this past year. This is the perfect ending to 2010 for him. He's really fast tracking to...........well I don't want to get carried away, but it's nice to see an American hope actually producing. Also, congrats to Jack on the great week and hopefully he takes positives from beating two good players.

12-20-2010, 01:35 AM
