wow...Thanks so much! :D

I really really want to watch that 2001 match or Rogi/pete, must have been a great match, the crowd went pretty wild when he won!

I hope we have many more to add as time goes by ;)

Yes it was a great match :D I wasn't there in person but it was very exciting to watch on TV at the time, and I have most of the match on tape as well :) (except for a couple of gaps in the first and third sets). It was so nerve-wracking watching it live at the time, especially when Sampras held break points at 4-all in the final set, and if he had won them then he would have been serving for the match  but Roger played superbly to save those points and then broke Sampras to 15 in the last game to win the fifth set 7-5. After he won Roger sat in his chair and was in tears. It was really sweet and I'll never forget it.

I didn't see all of that historical Federer/Sampras Wimby01 R16 but I'll never forget Rogi's sweet emotion when he realized his exploit!

Suktuen, love your avatar!

Any more links, guys?

my heart suffered a real lot during W-2004
I really don't know how I survived. i swear, it was one hand on remote control and one hand shutting one eye, many screams, and palpitations

Those are pretty good. The Sampras clip was choppy. I wish they showed more, than just the match point.

That match was alright. I mean if you like close matches, you'll like that match. But the fact that Roger didnt play very well in that match (cold), takes away some of the quality from the match, for me.

Rogi seems to get colds so easily these days... he better tell Mirka to take better care of him...

Yeah that match was just too nervy for me, not enuff brilliance from Federer....just elated when he found a way to win.

Great links :worship:

Rogi just needs to stop sniffing. He is a big boy and doesn't need to be pampered. i don't want him losing big matches due to him getting a bit under the weather.

What's so bad about sniffing? Would you rather him empty the full contents onto court like some other players do?

It's a pity about the colds though, he does seem to save them for Grand Slam finals. But he still wins them :)

But I have all of those matches on tape including all the ceremonies except the Sampras one :(

I was watching the match again recently. Have to agree with you about the fact that Roger didn't play very well (actually had the feeling right in and after the whole match). Hard to think back when I was watching it live how I survived it all the way. But you should also know nothing is paralelled with the emotions and sense of satisfation and relief after narrowly escaping from the jaws of death.

AA has a very unique walk. It appears, to my untrained eye, that there is a discomfort somewhere in the body --what is the story with that?

Thank you for the links, they are really great!

As for the colds - stress will weaken your immun-system. I don´t know, but meds who prevent that might be on the doping list and vitamins go only so far.

Yes, I agree with that. :) He can certainly take care of himself. ;)
