what about hand incident? i see these little tricks of smarty girls played since they are 8 years old! you don't believe that schnider or chakvetadze raises her little left hand 1 second before the opponent serves (and good 30 seconds after they take a ready-stand for return!) cause they suddenly became not ready, do you? it's the habit they have from the childhood, but it's an adults' tourney and such a behavior should be punished, at least once in a while :p

I kinda like Maria actually, but I am just supporting the Serbian girls more :) If only Maria would stop shrieking, I would like her even more ;) That's one thing putting me off from having her as my fav :awww:

gulzhan
06-06-2007, 03:04 PM
she can't  when she does try to control it, she loses.. the thing is she is not talented in tennis-- her forehand is dreadful, her game at net is a joke, her smashes are tragedy  all she has is her character (drive-volleys are cool too ), that is why i adore her! :worship: :secret: she gives me a hope that you can be a success even if you are not gifted by the mother-nature but if you really want it :o

i liked ana ivanovic first but then... :o i think she was quite a cheater when she was a girl  she truly believes every close call should be in her favor ;) cute for a girl but not so cute for a young woman :p

That's true. I like her character too, but sadly I'll have to lower the volume whenever I watch her match :( So she'll never be my fav fav, but I like her. That will do right?

gulzhan
06-06-2007, 03:38 PM
yes, that'll do :) it is actually more than i usually hope for

many people dislike sharapova but what is worse, many hate her and call her bad names  it's something that i can't understand-- calling a young girl with bad names :( i dislike serena for example for being an injury-faker and for playing 4 tourneys a year in friendly environment only  but calling her mmmh... i don't know, a bag of shit :tape: or fatassams? :o euh

i wonder if anybody knows who was that handsome young man sitting near masha's father? ;)

ataptc
06-06-2007, 03:49 PM
Well, I guess that happens to everyone. Seems to me every player has been called names by their haters, so just get used to it or ignore them

i don't have faith in politics ;) lost it when i was 15

i am not bitter about serena beating maria in AO, serena is nobody, playing US tourneys and GSs only is ridiculous for the modern professional tennis :o

my sister was at RG in 2005-- she was shocked how much the crowd is prejudiced against russians :( davydenko and petrova played semis that year, she had very bad feelings of unjustice afterwards

A player who has 8 Grand Slam titles is nobody? Then what does that make Maria? :rolls:

Then you should be able to sympathise with Serena, who has had the crowd against her most of the time. ;)

Seriously, if you think Serena is drugged just because of her physique, then what does that make Nadal? And what does it say about your faith in science if you believe that the results of drug testing aren't accurate?

silverwhite

I look at it this way. What if the umpire had seen Patty's hand? He would have made them replay the point. :p

gulzhan
06-07-2007, 12:05 PM
that's fine and you know better than me-- patty did that million times :p so did anna chakvetadze ;) masha never argues on that, in fact she very rarely argues with the umpires.... but it is good if umpire once in a while make a different decision cause those last sec hand raisings are real annoying

I look at it this way-- why Fed never does that? :p Even if it takes Nadal a lot of time to start serving :)

gulzhan

she was somebody and is nobody for the last few years, after so called come back which is occasional show off at GSs :p oki, she is someone, mmmh.. like guga or hingis

yes, at RG i sympathised with her :o the french crowd during one match against henin was real awful! she has no pbs at AO and Wimbly though and USO of course ;) but that does not mean i like her in general

i told you, i believe in science but don't believe in politics and objective authorities :o i am sure testings would be accurate if organizers wanted that at wimbly and or at the last AO :p

as to nadal, he is a spaniard, not an american  you do know that americans rule most of the world, don't you? ;) and if you ever dealt with them, you must know-- they are NEVER objective  well, even if you did not deal with them-- just reading their press is enough ;)

silverwhite
06-07-2007, 01:08 PM
You're so heavily biased that you can be even slightly objective. Forget it. :o

gulzhan
06-07-2007, 04:11 PM
Forget what? Mmmmh... the umpire's decision to not count Patty's hand raising? Mmmmh... the doubts in doping tests results? You like Serena and dislike Masha, I like Masha and dislike Serena, big deal

It's normal when people have different likes and dislikes, the only thing which I can't understand is hatred :o

silverwhite
06-07-2007, 04:56 PM
No, I mean it's quite ridiculous to say that Serena takes drugs and doesn't get caught because she's American. Do you have proof? No? Then forget it. :)

gulzhan
06-07-2007, 05:02 PM
Well, do you believe Nadal uses doping but just does not get cought? ;) No need to answer here, it's not a question, it's a statement...

GWH is sick  riviving a march thread to pour shit on Sharapova :o Mmmmmh.. nothing about Richie though , it's not cause of the late gossips I hope :tape:

I never saw so many bad names and bad language for any of the players as for Masha, even the Christian of MTF Jelena has tried to contribute (not sure that goes along woth her faith though )... Is it all about money? Just because she makes more money (media often exxagerates i must say!) on her advertisements? Euh  How disgusting.....

silverwhite
06-08-2007, 11:29 AM
It's because of the way she acts on court and because her game is not nice to watch. ;) :p

gulzhan
06-08-2007, 11:43 AM
she acts impeccably :ras:

many girls act much worse, but we discussed that already....

and all the other girls are great to watch? schnider with her spoon-strokes? chakvetadze with her soft game? kuznetsova with her safin-like hell-with-it attitude? and yet, people get nasty only when they talk about sharapova....

face it, it's money... too bad :o

silverwhite
06-08-2007, 12:13 PM
It's a matter of taste. Just because you think she's better to watch than all those other players doesn't mean other people have to agree. In fact, I think it was you who admitted that she has little talent (FH :help: volleys :help: ). :p

gulzhan
06-08-2007, 12:40 PM
yes, she has little talent  but great spirit :yeah: that's more important for life :p plus, i told it already, it gives me a hope that you can achieve what you want if you are strong enough even if you are not truly gifted....

i think beauty is a gift too... i mean, if you respect someone for his talent, why you hate someone for beauty? both are given, by GOd or nature, whatever you believe in, but both are not earned....

if you admire fed for his talent, why you hate sharapova for her beauty?

as to her behavior and character-- it's all bullshit and lie, i heard her interviews, i saw her, nice girl, loves family, had very hard time as a child, fighter ans survivor, very thankful and modest, most of what people don't like in her is simple defense.... and in any case it's not the point, i mean, even if something in her behavior is disliked, it's nothing so extradinary especially among the wta girls....

oki, no point to argue anymore, it just makes me mad and steaming of anger that so many people of different tastes are united by hatred to a girl who just happened to love tennis more than anything in her life AND be beautiful and are not ashamed to openly demonstrate that

only nathii is objective, i miss her  adam is kind too, if nadal loses, i can go to his thread and share grieving there :)

when masha loses, there is no place to go  so, it has to be singapore then  after all, balloon may come to support me ;)

silverwhite
06-08-2007, 12:47 PM
I don't think people hate Sharapova for her beauty (it's subjective anyway, because I don't find her attractive :tape: ). It's just a bit irritating that she has so many fans who like her because of her looks. ;)

Adam doesn't like Sharapova either. :o

gulzhan
06-08-2007, 01:15 PM
i know, but he would never call a girl bad names even if he does not like her :worship: unlike you :ras:

as to subjectiveness, there is well-known saying by an old russian actress-- sharapova is an established beauty, she already deserves to chose whom to be liked by and whom not to be :p :secret: she said than about mona lisa though ;)

davydenko :yeah: fights and fights and fights.... don kikhot  no idea of spanish spelling :o

maybe it's a good thing  from the life-after-tennis prospective ;)

silverwhite
06-09-2007, 10:47 AM
It isn't a joke. He's really a big disappointment... :o

He has one last chance to enter the Top 10. He is at #11 and has only Nottingham points to defend for the whole grasscourt season so he needs to win Nottingham again (or reach the final) and win a few rounds at Wimbledon. If he doesn't reach the Top 10 after Wimbledon, it'll be a while before he gets another opportunity since points will keep falling off...

gulzhan
06-09-2007, 11:21 AM
i know, i know... he had such a great chance, such a decent draw... last year we kept complaining he was unlucky with draw, this year we can't :o

Yes. Halle and Queen's are the fastest grasscourts around, I think. Still, Richard probably should have won that match but wasted 2 SPs in the first set.

If you're worried, one of you can go there early to check if there's a queue and if not, check back every couple of hours or so. If there's no queue, at least you might catch a glimpse of Christina. There should be rehearsals/soundchecks.

Her voice is just phenomenal. To keep up that kind of quality and intensity for 90 minutes... :worship::worship::worship::worship::worship:

I was sitting too close to the speakers and could feel the vibration. :o

BTW, was there anyone there when you started queueing at 6 am?

Christina is the best female pop singer

So you were near the corners? Hmmm..

You guys in the $348 seats got so excited and stood up most of the time anyway. Paying half the price was so worth it ;)

There were 4 middle-aged caucasian men in the last row of the $348 seats in front of us. One of them was apparently high/drunk/stoned and acted like a :retard: He was waving his hand at inappropriate times and I had to really tiptop and stretch my arms upwards to take pics and videos. His friend by his side saw us and tried to get him to stop and they ended up arguing :rolls: We signaled to his friend to get him to change seats and after that, it was much better :D

:o :o :o :o :o I don't want to talk about it

We reached the place at around 715am and were the first ones. The next two only came at 215pm :help: :help: :help: Even by 6pm, the queue wasn't as long as we had expected, probably about 50-80 people only. The rest of the people only came at around 730pm onwards :smash:

Everyone in the first few rows were near the speakers, I would say.

People in front of and around me stood up and blocked me so I stood up too. :o

My friend brought a ground sheet and we slept there for quite a while :rolls: Couldn't be bothered to walk here and there or take transport so many times.

I actually have 2 1GB memory cards but I can't find the other :awww: If only I had both, I could have filmed almost the whole concert! My 10x optical zoom never fails to amaze me :rocker2: Did you take pics and videos?

I need to  now, but before I go, baby bump! (lazy to rotate pic :p )

I took a lot of photos. Only took a video of the last part of Beautiful though. Should have videoed the whole song. :(

SW, what did you tell about "strain caused by spasm"? :haha: :haha:
How is Serena better than Justine? Everyone knows she is a bad Hollywood actress, but yesterday's show was out of all the boundaries

Cramps do not give right even for a medical time out (:o I don't know the rules but that's what our commentators said when Youzhny had cramps at DC match against Richie, as I remember Richie was not allowed medical attention too when he had cramps in match against Hewitt at USO) not to mention a 15 minutes (or more?! :o) rest on grass  And then the spectactors started opening umbrellas before the rain :haha: :haha: for Vinnie the Pooh! :ras:

Poor Hantuchova  So many years on tour and still got tricked as a rookie.... As Genci said, I would have waited for the allowed 3 minutes or whatever and then shook the hands with the umpire

Don't expect a nice reply to such accusations. :)

1. Serena had just won 3 games from 2-5 to 5-5. WHY ON EARTH would she want to stop her own momentum? :retard:
2. Richard did get treatment at the USO for cramps and the rules ALLOW for that.
3. The time spent before she officially received treatment was used by THE TRAINER to access the situation and it was THE TRAINER who decided to spend so much time doing it.
4. The injury was later diagnosed as a calf STRAIN. So unless you don't trust the medical professionals at Wimbledon...
