GGL in Vienna, Austria 201016681 10-19-2010, 02:06 PM Well GGL is in the main draw of this Tourament so we will hope he makes it there :D Cindy19 10-20-2010, 11:56 AM Yes, with a good result to finish this season. hyperren 10-24-2010, 03:12 AM The good news is he's seeded, the bad news is he's in the same quarter as Baghdatis. And Berrer is a dangerous R1 opponent, I think. [1] Jurgen Melzer (AUT) bye [WC] James Blake (USA) - Lukasz Kubot (POL) Tobias Kamke (GER) - Qualifier Alejandro Falla (COL) - [7] Philipp Kohlschreiber (GER) [3] Nicolas Almagro (ESP) bye Xavier Malisse (BEL) - Santiago Giraldo (COL) Qualifier - Qualifier Qualifier - [8] Juan Ignacio Chela (ARG) [6] Guillermo Garcia-Lopez (ESP) - Michael Berrer (GER) Thiemo de Bakker (NED) - Pablo Cuevas (URU) Bjorn Phau (GER) - Florian Mayer (GER) [4] Marcos Baghdatis (CYP) bye [5] Ernests Gulbis (LAT) - [WC] Thomas Muster (AUT) [WC] Martin Fischer (AUT) - Andreas Seppi (ITA) Jan Hajek (CZE) - Pere Riba-Madrid (ESP) [2] Marin Cilic (CRO) bye Cindy19 10-24-2010, 09:28 AM well, i see Thiemo de bakker, he is tough too hyperren 10-25-2010, 05:39 AM And if he makes the semis, I imagine Gulbis will want some revenge for Bangkok... ariel2 10-25-2010, 04:54 PM He's also got Flo Mayer in his quarter as well. Mayer's been on a roll this last part of the season. Vamos GGL! _Chaz 10-25-2010, 05:01 PM GGL probably got the worst draw possible. Berrer -> De Bakker -> Mayer / Baghdatis -> Cilic (the others are all mugs in that quarter) When you compare his to Chela's draw: Q -> Q -> Almagro / Malisse -> Melzer / Kohlschreiber hyperren 10-26-2010, 02:07 AM ...and now that Gulbis has withdrawn, Cilic SHOULD take that quarter. Except, you never know with him these days. 16681 10-26-2010, 05:34 AM ...and now that Gulbis has withdrawn, Cilic SHOULD take that quarter. Except, you never know with him these days. Yes what has happened to Cilic these days? And thank you for posting the draw :D hyperren 10-26-2010, 03:43 PM First round loss in three sets. ariel2 10-26-2010, 07:24 PM M Berrer defeats G Garcia-Lopez 63 46 75 GGL had a bad service day with 12 double faults. Berrer bested him in every category according to the match summary but Lopez didn't go down without a fight in the third set. Unfortunate results for him but we knew it would be a tough draw. 16681 10-26-2010, 08:55 PM Sadly this one went as we all expected  hyperren 10-26-2010, 11:15 PM It's a pity because GGL probably could have taken out Cuevas in the next round, too. But Berrer is a tough first round draw, so... 16681 10-27-2010, 07:26 AM It's a pity because GGL probably could have taken out Cuevas in the next round, too. But Berrer is a tough first round draw, so... Yes GGL did really get a bad draw. So we will have to hope for a better one in Spain :yeah: hyperren 10-30-2010, 07:56 AM Somehow, I feel better that Berrer made the SF than if he'd have lost... at least he's worthy of beating GGL. ;) On the other hand, that could've been GGL with a shot at the Finals against AHM... | |
