Well David plays his first match at 4.00am my time, and I'll be at work for his second (if he gets through!), so I don't know which is worse.

Graydon Oliver has put the neatest diary entry on his website and some of you might find it interesting. You can click on the link in my signature, then click on the 'From Graydon' page and scroll down a little bit to read his entry from Beijing. I just love Graydon to little bits and pieces...

I don't know either. I think we're both in bad places with the people we root for :)

I'm really curious about the Safin/Bogomolov result of tonight... :help: ... another brainless effort of Marat can be not excluded

I will probably know when I'm getting up tomorrow....

So when Alex wins you're already going to assume that it's Marat's fault & not that Alex just played better  . They've never played each other in the pros before so you have no history to go by.

Ten more minutes!!

Unless this SB is truly that bad :banghead:

I'm seeing Marat serving at 5-4 15-0

Tricky_Forehand
09-16-2004, 04:50 AM
Damnit!! Where? I'm looking right at the "live" SB. Figures he would win a set off of one break of serve. One bad service game is all it takes

Deboogle!.
09-16-2004, 04:50 AM
and Marat takes the first 6-4

Dux
09-16-2004, 04:52 AM
No brain farts Marat, you should be able to win this in straight sets :worship:

Tricky_Forehand
09-16-2004, 04:54 AM
Does Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Alex Bogomolov look like they have similar spellings? That's more than a small typo

Deboogle!.
09-16-2004, 04:54 AM
Marat *should* be able to do a lot of things, shouldn't he? ;) :p

Bogie holds for 1-0* in the second

David lost the second set 3-6

Tricky_Forehand
09-16-2004, 04:56 AM
Looks like Alex held the first game in the 2nd. He can do this!!

Deboogle!.

Marat holds apparently at love for 1-1 and with the blink of an eye Bogie seems to also have held at love for 2-1

Dux

I'm pretty sure Marat wins this match, I even betted 300 vCash, I'm just hoping Marat wins in straight sets :D

Deboogle!.
09-16-2004, 05:07 AM
Yes I should, Fee :( But tomorrow is a day off (thanks, Jews! Happy New Year and Shana Tovah! :D)

Ok, I'm obviously being ignored by one person.

Would someone show some courtesy and tell me how to see POINTS? So I can see how Alex's service games are going. I'm obviously the only one rooting for him here.

Fee
09-16-2004, 05:10 AM
Alrighty, I'll let you off the hook tonight, because it's early in the semester.

I have to get offline for a while. I'll check back later to see how these matches are coming along.

Deboogle!.
09-16-2004, 05:11 AM
LOL aww thanks mommy you're so nice :p

catch ya later!

Tricky_Forehand
09-16-2004, 05:13 AM
Figured it out (had to open IE). Would've been nice if someone could've told me so that it wouldn't take me a set and a half but I guess it's because I'm rooting for Alex...

Dux
09-16-2004, 05:15 AM
Come on Marat, win this set! :D

Btw, Tennis, I once saw Bogomolov live when he was barely starting, on 2001 in the 10k Cancun, I don't remember much about him but his coach Montana was a nice guy, it's good to see a guy who I saw on futures now playing the ATP tourneys :wavey:

Deboogle!.
09-16-2004, 05:15 AM
Bogie holds to apparently 15.... 5-4*

i dunno Amanda... it's said "Bogomolov" for me the whole time

Deboogle!.
09-16-2004, 05:18 AM
oops Pless broke Nalby back:o

5-5 0-15 in the Marat/Bogie match

Don't know Amanda.. maybe they figured it out Lol

I just realized I don't care who wins this match at all....

& why is that? :)

Deboogle!.
09-16-2004, 05:22 AM
Dux I like them both.... but I don't *love* either of them.... so.... yeah... lol... so whoever loses that's too bad and whoever wins well that's great... no emotional attachment to either of them hehe

Yep I like to stay generally informed....and.... generally distracted...

Dux
09-16-2004, 05:23 AM
Hope Marat serves it out, then I can sleep peacefully :D

Tricky_Forehand
09-16-2004, 05:23 AM
That damn 5 ALL game!! And Marat's serve will probably win him this match. If I hear about this being an "easy" win with only one break in each I will go off!!

15 ALL C'mon Alex!!

Deboogle!.
09-16-2004, 05:24 AM
15-15
30-15
40-15

Marat wins 6-4 7-5, pretty routine I guess. Looked like Marat consistently held serve very easily while Bogie had a couple rough games.

Do we really have to wait til the top of the hour for JCF? :( You'd think with all the backup they'd like to get all these matches played as quickly as possible

Deboogle!.
09-16-2004, 05:26 AM
:rocker: :rocker2:

I don't think I'd ever ever bet on Marat :p

Dux
09-16-2004, 05:26 AM
Grats on your 2000 post, & it wasn't an easy match, but Marat was the heavy favorite :D

Besides, most's ATP matches are decide by a couple of breaks :)

He's come a LONG way since then. Beat Haas in 2002. Broke top 100 for the first time in 11/3/2003 and is getting close to doing it again. Has won 4 Challenger titles. I could go on and on...

I think that Alex played well. Just two bad service games. He'll get him next time.

And, yes, Francisco is a very nice guy :) .

Well, my only interest now is Alex's doubles and then now I wait for the Beijing Challenger.

Deboogle!.
