Tiburon has less than 9000 people :spit: No wonder I've never heard of it.

Hope Amer, Marinko, Alex K., Ryan, and Tim can get some wins.

Agassi used to have a house there. It's a very small, very rich community in Marin County directly across the bay from San Francisco. Not sure how you've never heard of it, they have hosted a Challenger event for years (except for the 3 years they gave up their spot to remodel their club). Really nice place, one of my favorite restaurants used to be there, but it closed down years ago. Excellent food and an awesome view of SF from the outdoor dining balcony.

I was WRONG! The restaurant is still there! I guess I've spelled it wrong in the past when I tried searching for it. Bummer, I would definitely have gone to eat there when I lived in that area, even with a one hour drive. I'm sure it would have been worth it.

I've heard of it because of the big NASCAR series race they have there. Road course track. Forgot the name of it

That's in Sonoma, not in Tiburon. It's called Infineon Raceway now.

Don has a questionable draw. He should win his R1 obviously, but things could get very tough in R2 playing either Cook or Harrison. He should beat Lester, but Ryan H. can beat him. Then the QF, Kendrick is a guy he dominates, but there is Strode who he just lost to, and Klahn who will be playing in California, may have some local fan support. So I don't know, it's comfortable but also dangerous.

Ryan S. has a very good draw for three rounds and should make the SFs.

Hopefully one of the two wins this week to make up for their past weeks' failures.

My guess is that who ever beats Kamke out of Guccione and Jones will make the semis and lose to Sweeting, for me either Harrison or Kendirck will make the semis, if Cartsen is playing his best then he should win but he isnt that consistent so i think a Kenrdick vs Sweeting final.

I've heard mention that Donald Young has never lost an official ATP match to a younger opponent. I think this statistic will end in the second round when Harrison beats Young. Of course, this only occurs if Young wins in the first round - not a foregone conclusion, considering how he's been playing lately.

Who knows. Donald was really upset about PMac's decision of fourth man in DC Squad. He'll stand to prove he is far better. "Matter of honour", you know
Seems to be very interesting match, probably a lot of drrrrrrama. Pity I can't see it

Recent tweets of Brad Gilbert (http://twitter.com/bgtennisnation):

Went to TIBURON CHALLENGER yesterday, awesome place to see the up & comers - 90º temp. Saw Ryan Harrison play
(for Europeans: about 40ºC - J_U)

Yes, props to fighting Illini. Unfortunately, saw Delic lose a tight match to an Aussie - good tennis though. He's coming back.

Harrison just hired Martin Damm as his full time coach. Let's see how that goes.

Just watched him play yesterday. Liked his game, seems to have big time potential for an 18yr old. Believes in himself = good. (About Harrison, answer to "What do you think about Harrison? I saw him play in Delray. I think he needs to work on his mind set big time")

Blazing hot at the Tiburon Challenger - Harrison defeats Young 4 & 3. If anyone is in town, this is a beautiful venue to check out tennis!

Well, Don, you did absolutely nothing the past 2-3 months to help yourself and your ranking. Terrible serve stats today. Honestly, I think he's cracked under the pressure and also the fact he's won so much early in the year and got sick, I think he's out of energy. Hope he's ready to start defending a lot of points, or watch his slide right back down the rankings. Extremely disappointing.

I wouldn´t agree with you about Kamke. Matosevic is tough and Kamke got direct entry to Stockholm next week and plays a winnable match in 1st round there (vs Hajek, 2nd round probably Robredo) so maybe he wants to go there earlier and tanks but I hope he´ll show me I´m wrong.

Harrison down 4-0, only won 2 points on his serve in 2 games. Is it nerves, injury?

Tough loss. Kamke is a great player, but no way is he more talented than Ryan. Nerves still a problem for the youngster. Great tourney though, great job getting to the finals:yeah:

Gone with the sin!!

German lost only 5 points on serve :worship: 2nd Challenger title and best place in ATP ranking from tomorrow

Hehe, didn't think it would be this bad but I am not surprised. His nerves are really bad in first time situations. Kamke's ability or level today was completely irrelevant. I suspect Ryan would have had trouble putting balls into court regardless of who he played :p

I dont think this particular match made him more nervous. It's just a challenger event. He's played many atp's and Grandstand at the USO. A challenger final shouldn't make him nervous at all, just in general he gets a little tight in the beginning I think.

Nah, IMO the fact that it was the biggest final he's ever played was a big factor.

Congrats to Kamke on the victory, he's a damn good player, I expect top 50 next year from him.

Too bad about Ryan losing this badly, hopefully it does not affect him going forward.

I`m a bit surprised in the way that Kamke won. Good for him. Inspite of the defeat it was a good week for Harrison overall.
