Will post main draw in a bit. Figures Patrombon would be up against a seeded player in the first round. :(

Draw posted!

Dzumhur is in the same quarter as Fernandes... which kinda sucks, but it should be winnable. But first he'll probably have to get past Sock, who took a set off Chiudinelli in the MD of the Men's side. Could be a tough one. I BELIEVE, DAMIR!! (Oh, and it's funny how his first round opponent is someone he just beat at the semis in Canada. Haha.)

Patrombon's draw sucks! :( Hoping for an upset, but it looks like another first round loss.

Interesting that Baluda could meet Fernandes in the third round... Baluda beat Fernandes at the Youth Olympic Games, wonder if he could repeat that here.

LET'S GO JESON! C'MON DAMIR! GO VICTOR! FIGHT OLIVER!!

Velotti saved some match points (didn't count how many) then steamrolled over Wunner. Good fight.

Baluda and Fuscovics win in 3 sets, Fernandes and Golding win in 2.

Boys Doubles draw out. I'm too lazy to check out which players aren't doing doubles, and allowed non-qualifiers (in singles) like Morrissey and Krainik to participate in the doubles draw.

Not that I'm complaining. ;)

Micolani is a Lucky Loser indeed, as he gets into the MD and wins his first round match. Not so lucky is that he's up against Velotti next.

7 out of the 16 seeds - including Gomez (1) and Kubler (6) - are out after the first round.

The top half of the draw is wide open now, IMO. I don't know who's gonna take the first quarter, but the second quarter could be between Vesely (4) and Velotti (8), with De Loore possibly having an outside shot at it.

Bottom half is crowded with talent, it's a shame only one of them can make it to the final. The third quarter could go to Dzumhur (5), Fernandes (3), or Sock, while the fouth quarter has Beretta (7) and Fucsovics (2).

Anyway...

Jeson... He also lost in doubles. Oh well, not unexpected, to be honest, but I still wish it were a better result for him.

Cheers to DAMIR! TIAGO! OLIVER! Filip! Jozef!

Yeah, stupid marketing ploy. I guess it's fine on a per match basis, but when you look at photos and they ALL wear the same thing, it's ridiculous.

I don't mind doubles partners wearing the same thing, though.

TIAGO! OLIVER! Filip! Jozef!

I wouldn't sleep on Daniel Kosakowski. He had match points against Jack Sock in the U.S. National Championships. He has played very few junior tournaments, but he's a solid talent. He probably won't get past Velotti, but I'll be somewhat surprised if De Loore beats him.

Yes, I WAS wondering about that, LMAO. I'd seen Horansky before here in Singapore at the YOG, so I was confused when I saw "his" photo on the site. I was wondering if it was a trick of lighting or if he suddenly developed a tan in the last couple of weeks since YOG. LOL.

Two Brazilian pairs in the Boys Doubles quarters, though they face tough opponents in the quarters: Clezar/Fernandes goes up against Dzumhur/Pavic, while Sell/Semenzato faces YOG gold medalists Golding/Vesely.

Damir has a tough third round match coming up: Jack Sock. Though if he wins that, I like his chances of making it to the semis against Baluda (if he repeats his YOG result against Tiago) or Fernandes. But, maaaaan... I really hope Damir can pull it off!

American WCs are doing well here.

Sock and Kudla both cruise in the semis to set up what I believe is the first all-American junior Grand Slam final since Roddick-Ginepri at the 2000 U.S. Open. Sock hasn't dropped a set in the tournament and didn't even face a break point today. Kudla has been equally impressive in his last two matches.

This has been an awesome tournament for the American boys, and it couldn't have come at a better time.

Four finalists in three years is pretty good.

I don't know what's happened to Britton. He seemed like a very promising player just a little over a year ago, but has been unable to crack the top 1,000. Sock and Kudla have already done that and more.

I have my doubts about Buchanan, though he did just beat Del Bonis in U.S. Open qualifying, which is a solid victory. I just don't know that he has the firepower or the athleticism to be a top 100 pro.

If Kudla can build on the more aggressive tennis he has played this week, he has a chance to be a solid pro. He has the reputation of being a baseline grinder, but I thought he showed the potential to be more than that against King. I hope he keeps it up.

Sock is probably one of the best prospects in tennis. He has a lot room for improvement, but that goes for most all top juniors.

Props to Kudla for being the only player to take a set off of Sock. I expect him to gain a lot of confidence from his performance here.
