Woohoo Kei! :D
Not the way I wanted the match to end, but a win is a win nonetheless.
It was Kei's 10th straight win since his victory in the Binghamton challenger and USO qualifying. And his tie break records in those events have been 100%. :)
Good luck in R2, probably against Cilic!

ffs why did he retire?
It seems he had some trouble in his right wrist and he called for the trainer after the first set.

Evgeny had a wrist/arm issue it appeared. Not a good sign. He couldn't really hit the ball in the second set. Hopefully it isn't a serious issue.

As for Kei, a win is a win even in these unfortunate circumstances. Getting closer and closer to the top 100. Congrats to him on the victory. I can see him beating Cilic in R2.

oh really? i didnt know, all i could follow was the scoreboard

i really hope evgeny is okay because he had a good run last week and he really doesnt deserve to have anything else happen to him this season

Nishikori was playing too defensive for my liking today but he stepped it up a level in the tiebreak and any win is great for him right now.

While 2rd is usually problematic for Marin, Kei wasn't impressive today against injured Korolev, so why such optimism?
