Who is this joker:confused:? He's ranked 600 and something, surely someone better could have been given a wildcard which is how I'm guessing he got in?

He won the Kalamazoo National Championship that takes place August 6th. It's the biggest national junior tourney in the States. The Winner gets a md wildcard and the finalist gets a wc to the qualies.

Being ranked 600-something doesn't mean he is a bad player

Some very basic Googling could have found you the answer to your question and would have spared you the embarrassment that comes with starting this thread.

Thanks for that, I thought more insight could be gained on here, unlike your smarty pants reply. 64 thousand posts... get a life mate.

A lot of that comes from posting scores and whatnot. I don't see the problem.

Oh, and as for the topic, I think his name alone deserves some decent exposure. Imagine the awkward conversations the commentators will have.

Possible headlines after match: "Put a Sock in it!" or "Bless his cotton Socks"

Ryan Harrison is born 1992 and qualified. Bernard Tomic is born 1992 and has two Australian Open 2nd round appearances and has qualified for Wimbledon.

Kubler is born 1993 and played the Australian Open main draw this year, although almost everyone disputes the powers that gave him a wild card (no men's ranking at the time).
