Well we've almost reached the end of the road for the Pilot Pen Open and what do you know: we have two unexpected finalists! Denis Istomin and Sergiy Stakhovsky, nobody expected Stakhovsky to be in the finals.. Here's how they got by:

Thiemo De Bakker vs. Sergiy Stakhovsky:

Analysts, fans and the stats pointed to a De Bakker win in this match. But Stakhovsky had different ideas. He walloped the talented Dutchman to a 6-3 6-4 victory in well under two hours. He did not lose his serve through out the match, and also came up with seven aces. This is his second final of the year.

Denis Istomin vs. Viktor Troicki

Istomin attempts to become the first player ever from Uzbekistan to win an ATP Title. He had a marathon match against Troicki and finally came out victorious with a 7-6 3-6 6-2 victory. The first set tie break was an epic in itself as Istomin won it at 12 points to 10! This was never going to be an easy match for Istomin, and Troicki proved that he's a name to watch out for in the near future.
