Do any other R1 matches in the draw matter? No, bitches. Well, actually a couple of others do, but that is beside the point. This match is the probably the second sexiest in the main draw for R1. Whose gonna take this potential classic?

You all know who I think will win, so let's see what you all have to say.

No-one is interested in this sexy match-up? These guys must be major mugs then, if the MTF crew doesn't care about them.

Again, an interesting match.

Mello has engaged in some disgusting flat-track bullying over the summer to get his ranking higher up. :o I can't say I was expecting Phau to be in the draw (thought he had been hovering around 110-120 for a few months now) so that it is a bit of a nasty surprise.

Man, I dunno...virtually 50/50, so good choice of poll! Phau has a little more bite to his game and on these courts that should be a plus...although I remember Mello as a reasonably good retriever (?) and a strong dose of that style does get Phau flustered.

I'm not fond of Ricardo for several reasons, that being one of them. He played weak ass Brazilian challengers when he's already solidly top 100 instead of playing ATP events. He's barely played ATP events since entering the top 100.

Bjorn has been in the top 100 for about 3 months now, by winning two challengers.

Bjorn is one of my favorite players and I want him to win, but I think Mello will take it. This is a bad match-up for Bjorn. Bjorn is going to make an avalanche of errors. Ricardo is also a better counterpuncher then Bjorn is, and has a better serve. Only way I see Bjorn winning is if he is super consistent and offensive at the same time, and he's not generally proficient at doing that.

But yes, isn't this an interesting match! Far more interesting than most in the draw if I may say so myself

So who do you think is sexier?

I watched Phau lose to Berankis earlier this year.

Speaking of, Berankis is making his way through the USO qualifying, while Tomic bit the dust.

Definitely Bjorn. He's amazing. He is the definition of sexy. His game is orgasmic.

The last time Phau passed the 1st round of a major was back in 2006 when he won in USO against Jeff "Lizard King" Morrison. So for a change I predict him to win now.

Wow. That reflects how long Bjorn has been around. He's almost 31, I bet no-one knew he was around for that long.

Hopefully your prediction is right :D

I'm on Mello. He have score in this year on hard court 22 wins and 4 losses. Come on this match like winner of Salvador challenger and Campos Do Jordao challenger and was in semi-final of Brasília challenger.

I'll give Mello a chance. Only 4 losses on hard court.
