Agggh Dolgo's consistency was his downfall in their previous 3 set match, let alone a 5

ferrer will take it

Ferrer will win but whe Tsonga played Dolgopolov at Wimbledon, Tsonga was making it routine before Alex fought back. Made it quite a battle. Not sure if the same will happen here, but a 5 setter gives him time to find consistency

Dolgopolov in 4 or 5, just like Monfils defeated Ferrer some weeks ago in davis cup

I think David in four. Really a terrible first round match-up. Hopefully next year, Alex will start getting some luck with his draws.

Ferrer will win, he's a proper pro, while Dolgo is still WAY too inconsistent, probably more so over five sets.

One of the worst people he could've faced now i think about it.

but everyone knows that Tsonga is an over-confident jerk with no plan B and various mental and physical limitations :(

The winner of this has a possible next round meeting with Brands, so they better enjoy their 1 victory.

I'd rather Alex win, because then Verdasco could possibly get back into Top 8 in the race.

Dolgo fixing again. Ferrer 3-0 matched at 1.12.

With anyone else you'd maybe give them the benefit of the doubt, but this is at least the 5th time this year.

i wish he would win but dolgo is too inconsistent to beat ferrer in 3 sets let alone in 5

he won his last fixed match....(the match was "fixed" to loose)

but also those kinds of odds are very strange , especialy for a grand slam

That match he only sold the first set, you could see on betfair Petzschner was 1.10 to win the opener, but much higher to win the match (there's an obvious degree of correlation so it acts to drag down the match odds). Rumour has it Dolgo was supposed to retire after the first set :-)

Today Ferrer was matched as low as 1.07, and also the straight sets down to 1.12. In particular, $100k or so was matched on straight sets at around 1.20, which is a crazy price (something like 2.50 would be right). The latter may not be part of it though, the timing is a little off.

Of course he could be injured, explaining the move. Retirals void all that correctscore and handicap profit though....
