Newhaven R1: Igor andreev defeats Arnaud Clement 7-6, 6-3

A win is a good win for igor at this point who has dropped out of the top 100 and is defending semi final points here

An extremely much needed victory for Igor over a player who is slumping. Igor's ranking is likely to take a pretty big hit this week so any wins are a positive. He was leading 5-4 40-15 in set one and almost lost it. Hopefully this win is the start of bigger and better things for Igor, but that will likely come in clay challengers after the US Open.
