I've read on the RF.com forum, that Kolya was hitting a very clean ball against Soderling today. The fan report even said that he looked the best player out here. Better than Soderling, Djokovic or NAdal. If that's the case I think he'll have a great USO.

practice doesnt always translate into success in matches but if davy is finally rounding into form again thats fantastic

maybe that win over ferrer and close match against federer were exactly what he needed

I think he played quite well in Cincinnati. I especially liked his serve. He was really going for it. In my book the serve is the best barometer for confidence.

Too bad. I thaught I had a good chance to see him last year when Romania played Russia at home in the Davis Cup, but it wasn't to be, as Davy didn't made the trip.
I hope I get to see him before he retires. I really want to see how quick he takes the ball and how fast he moves around the court. Plus I want to see Irina.:devil:

Since Rodduck lost kolya's draw looks much better now. Should make the QF now, but with the way Djokovic has played in his first match I wouldn't be surprise to see Davy in the SFs.

He has to get past gasquet first but your right, with roddick out of the way he should make the quarter finals and could very well make the semis if he plays well
