Nole loses another match with #2 on the line :o

As much as it pains me to say, Duck was the most consistent player during the whole match, his serve is in the best moment since Wimbledon last year, he's taking a Sampras-like approach to serve, risking a lot hence making more DF than usual, that one to get broken when serving for the match the first time was :retard:

Roddick into the semis against good buddy Fish after a embarassing TANK for Nole. Roddick basically handed him the *54 game in the 2nd set. Then Novak gets broken at love at 5-5:haha: He should be ashamed of himself and possibly fined for the lack of effort. Just no intensity ever shown for Tankle.

embarrassing display from Djokovic :o :help: :tape: GTFO of the top 4 until you can start beating Roddick again. No top 4 player and slam champ should ever be Roddick's bitch and lose 4 straight times to him :retard:

about the match-if we didn't know any better, it looked like Djokovic was the one who had mono  he looked tired and had no energy. Sometimes he hit some good shots, but most of the match he sprayed the ball. Totally blew the 2nd set. After breaking back to 5-5, he lost his service game at love.

Roddick was solid, not a jerk today (well he was winning the whole time so need for it :p ) and he did well to recover from his late match last night.

What can you expect from a guy with breathing issues and allergies acting up? I feel sorry for him, being an athelete and playing in such a bad heat when he's having those health issues. He looked like he was about to pass out in Toronto, and I can't imagine it's any better in Cincy these days..

4th time in a row Andy is beating Djoko.
Absolutely deserved, great serving by Andy - I thought he choked it when made DF serving for match. Some good baseline points won by Roddick.

Djoko too much unforced errors, after all these losses vs Roddick, I have a feeling that he doesn't even know how to play against him.

Also, his 1 % serve won, over 80 %.. That's quite impressive. He didn't hit many winners though, but he didn't fail with many UE's either, so that's good.

Djokovic has to be the biggest wasted talent out there right now.I don't know but it's like something has snapped in him since that dust-up they had at the USO a couple of years ago.Ok he has played bad in quite a few matches in the last two years but never has he looked as listless as he does against Roddick. He hits shocking UE's and unlike other lost matches, from the word go he never looks like he's gonna win these matches.I don't know if it has anything to do with what happened in 08 but IW 09 and this match here are the worst matches I have ever seen Djokovic play, nothing worked in those matches-mental,execution etc.Just bafflingly bad on all fronts and I don't care what people say I'm only seeing this awfully poor level against Roddick

djokovic's forehand is weak, its technically weak and breaks down under pressure.
i have not seen any improvements in nole's game since 2008, whereas as nadal has improved alot since that time.

nole has an awful record against roddick and tsonga.

he needs to fire up like he did against roddick in that 2008 US open match.
and i believe he needs to have a couple of his family members with him to the big tournaments to support him.

he has become too serious and lost that swagger he had during late 2007 and early 2008.

and most importantly, he has become far too passive, he was so aggressive in his younger days.
alot like murray now, too passive but used to be very aggressive.

Andy basically feeds Nole garbage, and Nole doesn't know what to do with it. Nole is mentally vacant when it comes to playing in the heat, and playing A-Rod. He was mentally gone as soon as the match started. Very poor performance on many levels from Nole.

Judging by how both have played leading up to this point, Andy will probably find it difficult to beat Fish tomorrow, but congrats to him in getting back to the top 10. He did what he needed to do out there today.

Nole was dreadful, so many easy misses and tons of UE, he plays like an amateur at the net, so many times he wasted 30-0* returning, all Roddick had to do is serve Ok and push, disgusting

roddick is such a hard orker, it may not always be pretty to watch but he gets the everything out of himself. many other players such as nole could learn a lesson from him.

glad hes back in the top 10, now make the final please.

It's a different kind of principle though,I don't mean to insult him or anything but Roddick(besides his serve) is effectively a pusher. They're never expecting to do anything brilliant with the ball off the ground so they just plough along putting the ball in court.Harder hitters like Djokovic with purer groundstrokes can often get very frustrated when their game isn't clicking.Djokovic knows he can hit the ball so much cleaner so when he keeps making uncharacteristic unforced errors,it's always going to be harder to keep calm than for someone just putting it in court. And it's not like he could have backed off and started playing safer,in every match somebody has to be the aggressor and it wasn't going to be Andy.Djok had the right gameplan,so many times he set up the rally and just made the UE on the final blow. And for whoever said he returned bad,he returned fine,he got into plenty of rallies,it was the shots after the first shot that let him down
Here's his presser, sums it up well I think:

This doesn't address the bolded part of the post you quoted...which was about hard work and not how Roddick and Djokovic play

Djoko needs a good long vacation from the game

He will save his body and maybe the spark and desire will come back

Bad result, but at least Roddick will be humiliated in the final.

Both are obviously hard workers off court, their rankings prove that so I was referring to on-court work rate.IMO a pusher/passive player is always going to look like a harder worker simply due to their gamestyle. It's not very often that their game is going to go wrong and they're going to start making UE's cos they're not going for too much in the first place.I'm just saying that sometimes aggressive players might have an off day, just fail to find that rhythm and timing on shots(it's a fine line between winners an UE's) and just because they blow the ball long or wide every 5 minutes people automatically assume they're just not "trying" or working hard enough out there...
