So does anyone have any kind of statistic towards this?... The timeframe doesn't matter that much, one tournament, one year...I just want to see how it looks.

The ratio between straight sets and 3 setters in Masters and the respective for the Slams, of course with the extra option of 4 sets.

Voo, Statracket?

Any help will be appreaciated.

Hey Li Ching Yuen.

Between the beginning of 2001 and now (end of Toronto last week), there have been 22,544 best of three tour level matches (excluding Davis Cup). Of these 14,910 were straight setters, that is, 66.14% or just about two thirds.

I'll provide the best of five stats soon.

Best of five in the same period (excluding Davis Cup):
5031 matches, 2561 (50.9%) were 3-setters, 1517 (30.15%) were 4-setters, and 953 (18.94%) were 5-setters.

Statracket.

Thanks a lot, great stats as always. I love your site btw.
The numbers for the 4 sets matches always surprised me. 30% is A LOT.
