David making a run back to the top 10. Sam continuing to show struggles at big events. The match was predictable, David grinded, was aggressive when he had the opportunities, Sam didn't serve great, and overall, David was simply too solid and too good for Sam.

Freaking ridiculous Sam. What's his record at MS events this year? Can't be healthy reading. :o

He can't break through, it's sad.

Ferrer will fight for a spot in London if clowns like Querrey can't win on fast HC and mug up a 50% 1st service!!:o

I gotta believe Querrey's already burned himself out ahead of the US Open, and he's due to play New Haven next week. As much as I want to like the guy, he disappoints me with his approach and attitude towards the game. He will never be a serious contender or top player until he 1) grows up, and 2) smartens up.

Good win for Ferrer. He needs a solid result in Cincy to boost his confidence heading into the US Open.

Sam that was disappointing...thought he would at least snatch a set.

Well done Ferrer, he's always a threat even on fast hard courts

Sam has to improve his results in Masters 1000 events to have a chance to be in the top 10 !

Querry blew his wad after beating Murray in L.A. Probably thought he was about to embark on a path to greatness.

Querrey following Cilic's example.

However, at least Cilic can post solid results at '500s'...apart from that Memphis title, Querrey has done nothing else at that level this season. :silly:

Significant result for Ferrer as he needs to be scoring in the 90-180pts range in the remaining mandatories of the season to give himself the best chance of sneaking a place at the WTF. Currently, Verdasco is the only player near enough to challenge him and he can't improve much more on his own optionals results and is in dodgy form anyway. Vamos Pics!

Nice to see Ferrer do well also on HC, his weakest surface by far. I had my doubts after RC, but it's nice to see him step it up here. That being said, Querrey isn't exactly much of an opponent. Still, I hope Ferrer plays as well in R3 as he did in R2.

I thought grass was his weakest surface? His best slam result was the US Open...

Ferrer

Querrey's never going to accomplish anything significant on the bigger stages as long as he stays in my avatar... So which player should be the unlucky fortunate chosen one to grace it next?
