He won two Grand Slam ... should have ended the year at No. 1 right?

anyone know why?

Because Tsung Hua-Yang had a better year overall, in singles and doubles (as junior ranking count for both). Tsung Hua-Yang won junior Roland Garros and doubles in the Australian Open and Wimbledon. Imagine if Federer won the US Open this year, he would have two Slams for the year but probably wouldn't finish as number one.

Dimitrov fans betetr feel upset about not winning the 2008 ITF because that's all he'll ever win. But he didn't even win it

agree, he has a good technique, but doesnt have mental stability to be a champion, he will probably win some atp tournaments, but that will be all, maybe a masters too.

Grigor will be a great player at some point.

he wont be as dominant as everyone thought but he will be good and i can see him winning slams

yeah lets judge a player on how good he'll be or what he'll do based on what he's doing right now:rolleyes:

how do you know he wont do anything? just because he's not going to be as good as everyone thought doesnt mean he still cant be good and a future top player

He'll never win a masters tournament.
A few 250s or 500s is all he'll win.
Grigor will be a great player at some point.

Winning slams??????????????? :spit:
I've never read anything so stupid in my life :rolls:

and if he does get to be a top player what will you do then?

its stupid to say right now that he'll never do anything

its one thing not to be a fan its another to claim you know the future

I think that was the longest period of time between Dimitrov threads on MTF.

he's not too young anymore and he is still losing in futues. At least Donald Young is pushing at top 100. Dimitrov an even bigger failure than Young.

i just dont think its fair to judge this kid right now

i can agree he was over rated, he was predicted to be better then he will be and maybe all that hype got to him. Could any of you honestly handle that kind of attention any better, being so young and knowing that everyone is waiting for you to do great things?

he's still got time, he is only 19 if he's still sitting around the 200 mark next year or at the end of the year then its time for concern but there is still time for him in the year to make a push

by the way he won 3 of the last 4 events he went in to..so he's not losing in futures that much anymore

First of all, come talk to me when he get to the MD in 30k Challengers. There are so many young players with his talent or more. For example Tomic is 1000x plus talented than Grigor. Grigor will be a Daniel Brands, a Pere-Riba. And today that i'm in good mood, he could be a PHM at his best form... Not a GS winner, never in life...
