Cincy R1: Baghdatis def. Bellucci 6-2 4-6 7-6(4)

08-17-2010, 08:41 PM
much more interesting and fought than the one sided Berdych-Mathieu, Baggy man came out on fire in the first set but kinda ran out of gas and Thomaz took advantage of that in the second, the third, Baggy took control of the TB (

Wtf was Baghdatis doing at the end? How embarassing :tape:

08-17-2010, 08:43 PM
Genuinely thought he would fuck up that tie break when it got back to 6-4

08-17-2010, 08:43 PM
Soon Baghdatis will be top 20 again.

08-17-2010, 08:43 PM
yes, what was that. And kissing the court?!

Has it anything to do with something that happened during the match or what?

 Maybe he wanted to show his coach what he can do tonight thanks to this win ;)

Bellucci is an useless final-set tie-breaker. He has lost 4 matches this year 6-7 in the third :o

Soon Baghdatis will be top 20 again.

He's really struggling with that first serve going awol, was 39% vs cilic, and 2nd set today only made 6/23 (26%).

Solid tiebreak though.

awww bad luck Thomaz:hug:

Smart breaker from Marcos, made up for that weak second set.

marcos is kissing the court lately after each win :tape:

08-17-2010, 08:52 PM
The celebration :spit: Mini lawnmower at 6-1 in the tiebreak, then hip thrusted when he won and kissed the ground

Baghdatis-Berdych will be good

08-17-2010, 08:52 PM
strange match
marco completely dominant at 6-2 4-2, then fell apart
i guess the good players know how to win, which is th most important

08-17-2010, 08:52 PM
Marcos always kissed teh court. And he already is top 20. Number 20 in face

08-17-2010, 08:53 PM
marcos is kissing the court lately after each win :tape:

you can tell from his emotions that he truly loves the sport
would you rather he was more like james blake today?

08-17-2010, 08:56 PM
Yeah, Baggy good fight lately, having some really muggy periods in matches but grinding out the wins (including vs Verdasco and Cilic, so pretty commendable).

08-17-2010, 09:39 PM
Marcos
And this was R2 ;)

08-17-2010, 09:45 PM
Congratulations Marcos.
Oh, Thomaz!

08-17-2010, 09:47 PM
Almagro and Bellucci are playing shitty these days...

08-17-2010, 09:57 PM
The greater spirit Marcos showed edged him the match. I think Bellucci simply couldn't mentally or physically sustain his fight through the decisive final set tie-break. Such a shame it became a bit of an anti-climax, Thomaz had all the momentum.

Always good to see the way Marcos engages the crowd whatever the situation in matches!
