Who DO YOU want to see win the US Open?

DorianGray7

Men's Tennis Forum make yourself heard at what you do best.

Which Top player would you like to see win, NOT who do you THINK will win but "want"
Since there are only 10 options, I only put in the top 8 players + roddick and "other"

Vote away!

I want Berdych to win because it would round off a great year.
However, I expect someone to say BRANDS!!!
I think it would be nice for someone like roddick or djokovic to win as well

Gasquet/nalbandian/hewitt/

richy because he was always good enough but mentally couldnt do it

nably because 2003 should have been his year, he just never was able to put it all together

hewitt because he's such a fighter

I'd most like to see a Federer victory, but failing that a Nadal or Murray win would be good too. I don't really give my other favourites such as Ferrero, Wawrinka, Gasquet, Blake or even Roddick much of a chance.

Other- Nalbandian. He should have had it in 2003 and it's now or never for him. PLUS I'd love to see "the big 4" get shaken up a bit.

Now for reality - anyone but Murray.

Dream scenario? Soderling, Nalbandian, Berdych or Davydenko takes it. (Yes, I'm aware Kolya is in very poor form.)
Federer would be fine, too.

Yeah... people rooting for successful players is baffling.

Who would have thought so many Nadal Fans would want him to win the USO and complete the CGS.

How surprising a good amount of Federer's numerous fans want him to regain his USO title.

Murray fans wanting him to win his first major? Why would they?

Djokovic literary fans eagerly awaiting the sequel to "My First Grand Slam"? They do?

Blake, that would really make me happier than any one else winning, after everything he has gone through. But that isn't happening. Monfils, would be nice to see him entertain his way to a US Open title  ...but that isn't happening either. Of the guys most likely to win the title I'd like to see Rafa win it to complete the career slam.

Even if he'd play against Gasquet in the final, I'd still cheer for Nadal :tape:

Sad to see most people are in denial. Roger is done people, he hasn't even won the US Open since 2008. I doubt he'll even make the final.
