I'd recommend Berdych-Murray at the French*,followed by Murray-Nadal at the AO.

Too bad the level dropped after that, could have been the greatest match at the FO.

Best of 3: Davydenko-Nadal (Doha): awesome match on that slow hard court.
Best of 5: Isner-Mahut: well no comment needed here.

US Open R4 (I think). Ferrer vs. Verdasco!

I could agree with this one, but only to a certain extent. It was strange watching Ferrer let a 2 set lead slip right out of his hands, but Verdasco just somehow stepped it up and found the energy to comeback and win that one. Strange, but pretty nice match!

US Open R4 (I think). Ferrer vs. Verdasco!

I'm not nit-picky :p but the 3rd and 4th sets, at least in my opinion, were a bit of a letdown just because they were both going for more and not content with long exchanges. Definitely a great match but it had its dips like all other matches.

I have to agree with Djokovic-Federer at the USO. That last set in the SF witnessed some crazy tennis from both players, but especially from Nole towards the end. The all-Serbian match in the first round doesn't quite make it on my list as the conditions meant that Djokovic was playing nowhere near his best.

Honourable mention goes to Nadal as well for some phenomenal performances in Monte Carlo - 3 bagels, 3 breadsticks and losing just 14 games en route to a Masters 1000 victory...his match stats against Berrer in R16 for instance are amongst the most lopsided you will see.

Quality of matches has gone downhill probably more to the increased amount of defensive/pushy playing styles plus the aggressive players' lack of accuracy when it counts.

I'd imagine the unforced error totals for the last two years or so have been much higher overall on the tour than previous years.

my fav matches were the 2 last victories from Ljubicic at IW (vs Nadal & vs Roddick), Ritchie win vs Davydenko at USO, Murray outlasting Ritchie at FO and the Marathon Match.

I prefer Australian Open 2010: Korolev(53) d. Birdshit 6-4 6-4 7-5
I prefer these though:
Australian Open 2010: Youzhny def. Gasquet 6-7 4-6 6-7 6-7 4-6
Roland Garros 2010: Murray def. Gasquet 4-6 6-7 6-4 6-2 6-1

And guess what, both of them were R1 matches :speakles: At least Berdych made R2 to lose to Korolev.

losing against Youzhny & Murray is not quite the same as Korolev, sorry.
and what about more recently :
Beijing Michael Berrer (51) d. Birdshit (7) 4-6 7-5 6-4 :rolls:

It's funny as Berdych somehow went on to beat Murray and Youzhny in straight sets at a certain GS called Roland Garros

How about some of the players Gasquet has lost to this year then? :haha:

Tokyo R16: Tursunov (432) def. Gasquet 6-7 6-1 4-6 :haha:
