Just look at his three best tournaments of 2010 (he earned 90 points in each). Doha semi - beats three players outside the top 55, Indian Wells R16 - get a bye, then a 1-0 ret, then a withdrawn, Roland Garros R32 - gets injured Robredo, then Ball (ranked 132).

This same luck happened all of last year too, it's bizarre. Since he's been getting direct acceptances to Grand Slams, his first round opponent's rankings have been 56, 65, 188, 99, 142, 99, 78, 94, 26 and 104.
